--"Thanks, I'll go look for it. I'm using XP but have office 2000 installed. Does that make a difference?"

No. It's installed on the OS end of things.
Just go into Control Panel - Regional Options. The last tab, Input Locales, is what you'll want.

    --"As for romanji"

Well, it is a debateable point, I suppose. Romaji just doesn't work as well. Is that nai a na-i or a n-a-i? I think spelling things in romaji first and then trying to learn the kana spelling is more trouble.

German for the music, Italian for Roman history and opera, and Chinese because it's just cool.

Russia has no culture. It's stolen from other slavic countries.

Really, why no Slavic? There is more the Europe than just the West.

Mexican culture is unique in Latin America, and very different from Andead culture. Between the ex-aztecs and ex-Incas you get a mixed bag, a really polyglot mix of Native American, african, and Iberian (I agree Iberian should have been included)

Brazil is heavily African with Iberain mixed in, and Aregntines and Chileans like to see themselves as another mix of Europeans, with Italian and german being the strongest.

Similiar to Pinyin or Wade-Giles (ugh) for Chinese.
Pinyin is Tse-Tung and WG is Zedong, right?

Or is it the other way around?

(Sure I 'could' look this up for myself, but asking is more fun...)

I think it's the other way around. WG sucks because it was based on Italian pronounciations, IIRC, and is therefore more difficult for English readers to decipher. Pinyin is far superior, IMO.
