  • Q Kicks Hussein Butt (Star Trek Quotes Thread)

I intend this to be a thread where Apolytoners post their favourite Star Trek one liners.

The Character that impresses me the most, however, is that of Q.

    Q: All the galaxy's a stage.

Picard: All the world, All the world is a stage.

Q: Well, if he were alive now he would have said the galaxy.

...and Q would have been able to solve the Hussein question in a matter of a millionth of a second.

    Now that's impressive.

    Seems apropiate now.

Q: Welcome to the afterlife, captain -- you've dead.

              P: What?

              Q: I'll explain slowly...you're dead...this is the afterlife...and I'M GOD.

              P: You Are NOT God!

Q: Blasphemy. I will have to smite you, or cast you out, or something.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Janeway looks over Q's and Q's shoulders as they "do it."

                Janeway: "That's IT!?!"

                Q: "You had YOUR chance."

Resistance is futile. Negotiations are irrelevant. Your technological and cultural uniqueness will be added to our own. We are Borg.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.
                          -Richard Dawkins
