Very awe-inspiring. Such precision with those attacks lighting up the Baghdad sky by destroying the President Palace.

I don't know about awe but definately shocking... CNN reporting it like it was the superbowl or something... a little disquieting when you know people were on the receiving end but a necessary evil none-the-less. Here's hoping as few of the civilians not involved with the regime die from the campaign.

I'm shocked and awed at the colossal waste of money Bush's war is.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Amazing wasn't it. You have B-52 500 miles away launching cruise missiles, Navy ships launching cruise missiles 200 miles away and B2 bombers launching cruise missiles 150 miles away and they all struck in the exact same location minutes after eachother.

I heard 1000 (!!!) cruise missile and untold number of precision bombs were used in the bombardment... that is awe inspiring firepower. I cannot imagine the destructive power of such a salvo.

Kramerman, one has to remember that the US doesn't have an endless supply of these. Isn't a tomahawk worth ~ $1 million?

Anyway, we're told the ferocity is gonna keep going up...

oh, indeed. This i know, but none the less, 1000!!!

Somethn that would be pretty awe inspiring is if the US ever gets an oppertunity to drop a couple of MOABs on the Iraqi military... That might even break the Republican Guards' spirits... too bad they are hiding behind civilians like cowardly brats.

Reminds me of Kosovo and the human shields...

I'd like to see a MoAB too... not in Baghdad though...

But a BILLON DOLLARS in cruise missiles in one night. thats quite impressive. I wouldn't mind a billion raining down on me, but not in that format

anybody have video of Saddam's palce being blown up.

Yes I'm evil, I delighted in that. All that money was supposed to go to his people, not his palace. So we had a right to blow that baby up

a billion bucks. what a loss. esp. considering it hardly achieved anything.

It's not like we were using the money for anything. . It's either war or tax breaks. Congress already took money from the tax breaks to pay for this war.

And please don't tell me education. I heard that today. The federal goverment is not responsible for education. That falls under state and local goverments. Presidents only pledge money for education for political gain. The money is not very much and is lost in the beaucracy anyways. I doubt any of it actually reaches the classroom.
