The Democrats feel that running anybody with a sound ideology and clear ideas for the future simply wouldn't be sporting, given the opposition.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

that the Democrats either can't find a really good candidate
Almost everybody and their brother is running for the Democratic nomination. It might even be the most ever for any party.
Given this, wouldn't it be pathetic if they couldn't field somebody of high caliber?I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Dean is my choice. I don't think Bush would be able to "maul" him any more than, say, Kerry. The only issue he could really use different from other Dems would be Vermont's domestic partnership bill, which wouldn't be a good idea, IMO.

Carol Moseley Braun is a joke. The only reason she's even running is so she can continue to solicit campaign contribution which can be used to help maintain the standard of living that she became accustomed too while she was in Congress. She is slime and wouldn't even carry her own neighborhood. Republicans would drool over the oportunity to run against her.Tutto nel mondo è burla

I'm using the most important criteria - what do they look like. Clark looks the most presidential. But on the other hand...
That's just wrong."Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit. The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency

I think a Dean or a Clark would take a lot of the middle voters away from Bush. Many of the others may be considered as too entrenched in the status quo.

Don't know. Clark hasn't even announced his party, so he's a little hypothetical at this point.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter.
