  • Evil-evil Finland revisited

Does anyone have a link to the legend of Evil-evil Finland? I've heard about it, but I have never seen the thread!

Why do people highlight parts of 'evil-evil Finland in red?'

I'm not sure, but I maybe have that link in my home computer. I look if I still find it somewhere when I get home.
Why dosent God just pop up and say "Hi"
maybe it's because pop ups aren't very popular?

The entire thread in printable format (all on one page), the smiley .gifs are included in the archive so that when you extract it the thread shows perfectly.

~400 kB uncompressed, ~150 kB when compressed.

Oh, and "Evil" and "Finland" are sometimes highlighted in red because the search function highlights the words the thread has been searched with. If you have searched for it with the words "Evil" and "Finland", the search thingie highlights them in red for you. It's readable from the url of the search results, and you can edit it out from there to get rid of them. My .zip archive I just linked lacks these highlights, though.

I can't believe how famous that thread is, even among Finns.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

What do you mean, "even"? The Finns are exactly amongst whom it was and still is the most famous. There are still, one year after, queries about it on the Finnish forums I frequent.

Nah, most Finns have English as a foreign language in schools... anyone who is likely to stumble upon it is proficient enough in English to understand it.

Oh, and I found an Apolyton link too, after looking through the OT Archives:

The most apt quote from the entire thread-

Oh my God. I've spawned the devil.
The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland

English is the first foreign language, in the most areas of the country the
teaching of it is started in the 3rd grade. Even Teini-X:s will understand English here.

You people are just happy someone noticed you up there in the corner of the world.
                      So it seems.
