A weak excuse for getting that flawed countdown on screen again Tamerlin?
I promise if we lose I will not use the excuse that it's a development squad (though it clearly is with a 'virgin' centre and a just-fit Luger back in the starting line up).

My moto is "never miss an occasion to say/write something stupid".

And...
Countdown until the end of England's invincibility record at Twickenham: 3 days...

I checked the FoxSports guide here. No 6 Nations! Not even replays! The weekly rugby show "Inside Rugby" starts next week so I imagine I will have to make do with the excerpts they show. I might even have to tune into the BBC radio coverage on the BBC website.
I might have to make do with whatever they show on Sky Sports News - a sports news show they have on Fox Sports World.
BTW, Cal, for the Waratahs -v- Crusaders trial match tonight, the bulk of the Crusaders pack - the big guns - along with Justin Marshall will start on the bench. The Waratahs are breaking up the game into quarters and trying various hookers, half backs and 5/8s for 20 minutes each. The result seems unimportant.
Heh, yes but that doesn't stop speculation does it?
Have a look at what I read on rugbyheaven yesterday regarding the Blue's trial:
The Blues beat the Brumbies last Friday, wrapping up an impressive pre-season which has prompted bookmakers to shorten their odds for the Super 12 championship.
What do you think of that site's new look BTW? I think it's awful, it looks like a Brumbies jersey.

Apparently the press gave Woodward a hard time about France yesterday - and in particular the way they were named as IRB team of the year and the emphatic way the outplayed England in Paris (there words not mine - I thought the scores were fairly close).
He eventually had the following to say:
"It was England's worst performance of the year by a long way," he said.
"While I don't think that we helped ourselves, we lost fair and square.
"I thought that France played outstandingly well, and they played outstandingly well against Jonny Wilkinson.
"But we won't be caught this time. We are a lot better prepared this time, so we will see what happens on Saturday.
"We have got to go out and attack France in every passage of play - we are not going there to make up the numbers."
All in all Tamerlin I think he means - Game On!!

Ah Super 12 is warming up for the off is it?
You would have to back the Crusaders whatever their composition - the best team in the SH by a country mile.
So they would have beaten England last year then?
they might even manage to avoid relegation from the French and English top leagues.
Pure speculation is fun isn't it...
A bit of playful banter there Caligastia if you were wondering But with a serious point behind it too as our Leagues have French and British Isles referees and with either no Super 12 side would win anything.
Pity we can't test your theories eh? Shall we just assume they are completely accurate until then?

Good lord no. Only France have beaten England in the last 18 months. Apparently an NZ ‘C’ team came close though?

You betcha.

It’s what I always do.
This year Canterbury would have to face Glaws anyway and where is the challenge in that – a walkover for you.
I had a quick look at Planet Rugby's pundit picks for the six nations - one pundit from each country involved picked their final table. Even the french judge put England top.
I didn't include the link so as not to upset Tamerlin.

Wait a minute...you said they are the best team in the SH by a country mile...that means they are better than the All Black team that lost by a narrow margin to England, and if they are better by "a country mile", then they should easily be able to put 15+ points on England.

If England win it will be good because they will go into the RWC brimming with overconfidence - and be brought down to earth in a hurry, but if they lose they will go into the RWC filled with self-doubt and pesimism.
It's a win-win situation!

BTW Finbar, I have not found a MP version of Civ2, I am still checking with my friends but I am not very optimistic.
You'd probably find it in the discounted bin in a shop that sells computer games. I have the Mac version, which was hard to get even when it was first released. I'd lost the CD, so I was faced with not being able to load the game onto my new computer. Lo and behold, I found a copy of the Mac version on the shelf where I bought the computer! Must've been the only one in the country! You could be just as lucky!
