    Hueij - no problem buddy!
Personally, I like Bob Marley, but I get tired of him way too easily...

    Thanks

But tired of Bob Marley???? Anyways, I'd need at least 20 islands to take all my Beatle albums with me
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
    Once again...

      Kruder & Dorfmeister - K&D Sessions

It's a double-CD, but if I'm only allowed to take one of the two, I'll take CD1.

        Ha, true true.
Now that I think about it, all I'd have to do is take my ipod with me! All I'd need is an outlet on that solar-powered cd player thingy.

We are all making a rather large assumption that we have SPEAKERS for this CD player aren't we?

The Clash - London Calling, or the Beatle's "White Album"
I would get sick of London Calling after about 3 times but the Beatles White Album wouldn't be that bad.

My second choice would probably be a Bruce Springsteen CD.

There is no talk about restrictions on bringing our own speakers either

I split it up into different categories. On The Beach... would probably be my choice given only one.

Album: The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society (1968), or for better island appropriateness, On The Beach With The Paragons (1967).

Compilation: The Very Best of Sam and Dave or Smokey Robinson and the Miracles: The Ultimate Collection or for variety, er, I've got no idea. I don't buy many variety compilations. I'll have to research this one!

Box Set (2 CDs): Tricky category. I've got decent Robert Johnson, Sam and Dave and Hank Williams 2CD Boxes, the Trojan compilation Young, Gifted and Black looks okay though too seventies-focussed, can I go for a 2 CD album? In that case, either Sandinista! by The Clash or Ghetto Dictionary by Bounty Killer.

Box Set (3 CDs): Trojan Rocksteady Box Set, unquestionably.

Box Set (4 CDs): The Stax Story or Nuggets or Phil Spector Back To Mono

Box Set (Unlimited CDs): The Complete Stax/Volt Singles, 1959-1968 (9 CDs) or more likely Trojan Box Set: A Jamaican Story (30 CDs)

Do double cds count as albums or not? They were originally released as one album but came on two cds?

I concur with Snapcase, either of these albums would suffice to drive me to suicide and put me out of my misery when I'm stranded on a desert island...

                          hmmmm

I have to say Tool - Aenima.

Runners up would be Metallica- And Justice for All. Tool- Undertow, Tool- Lateralus, Metallica- black album, Iron Maiden- Somwhere in Time, Pink Floyd- The Wall,

I just thought of Box sets.

I would choose Metallica's live ****! binge and purge. The audio CD's are in 1 cd case so that counts as 1 cd

                            Or Led Zeppelin's box set
