The game is out in Japan, go ask some Japanese kids what they think of it on Xbox Live.

Seriously though, 2 player fighting games are p2p. Whether the developer xbox network or the retail xbox network matches the players wouldn't affect the speed...

If it was a Xbox Live-hosted game like a 16-player Unreal Championship game, then I can see their point. Other than that,

Like any Japanese kids have an Xbox.

      Other than that,

Not all broadband connections are the same. There's all sorts of minor hiccups in a real world connection that can cause minor lag, and any lag is enough to ruin a fighting game. There's no room for error.

        Yeah, I know.
But I don't see why it's relevant to specify it worked great on a developer network but they don't know about the retail network.

Both work over the same internet.

Don't ask me. If it really does work lag-free, I'll be impressed. But I'm a bit skeptical, to say the least.

There's no room for error, when ur playing fighting games?

FPS, works online... games like quake III are very fast paced games....

Though SCII is a 60fps game..... its gonna be very hard to play lag-free
            :-p

Try to do a difficult, timing-based counter like the "guard impacts" in SC with any lag...

a former hard core PC fan, I switched my gaming habits with the xbox
I know play strategy games only on the PC (MTW, combat mission, etc.) and sport/FPS ones on the xbox, because I love playing on a very big screen. The controller is big but very nice, I don't have kids hands and it suits me fine.

Any 'religion war' on what sucks and what doesn't is fairly immature. We all have different leisure patterns/habits, and different platforms catter for different needs.

Or if ur really into SC, you could just imagine how hard JF or 1FS moves would be during lag!

only in soul calibur, you will find where a game demands you to react in 1/60th of a second...

but sniping takes a quite a precision as well. But it is "playable" with certain amount of lag. I dont think I will be performing 1FS moves out of my nose with lags, but then again w/o lag its hard enough anyway....

Performing them with your nose would certainly be a neat trick
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

i gotta have a pretty shifty nose to pull off a combo that needs to be done within 1/60th of a second...
