It's all a matter of taste, experience, and playstyle.
I grew up playing Atari, NES, and PC games, so I'm quite skilled and experienced in both worlds.
Console games I find more relaxing, in general.
PC games I find more intellectual, in general.
Lately I've been playing games mostly to unwind and relax, so I've been focusing on console games...
After a day full of math and software engineering I don't usually want to come home and play a game of Civ3. I usually want to do something like load up MotoGP and go online with it, talk to a bunch of people from across the world while I race them and try to set a new personal best on some tracks and hopefully improve my ranking for fun, while sprawled out on the couch infront of the bigscreen.

Nothing more relaxing than listening to the anthem of the Soviet Union while watching the glorious Russian Federation overtake the evil Chinese Communist Bloc after its horrible sneak-attack on the empire
Memories like that you just can't make on a console.
