I live in Felixstowe. Kinda boring town in Suffolk, England. Dominated by pensioners and Daily Mail readers, slowly gaining some style as people move here and commute to London. The old parts of town were built by the Victorians with the newer parts being standard mid-late twentith century style (ie, nothing noticable about them). The one noticable thing about the town is that it's the biggest container port in the UK, which prevents it from sliding into a downward spiral and becoming God's waiting room like other towns of it's size.

Still, this place at least has something to do during the day and at night. In Canada, I lived in the rural greenbelt that circled the City of Toronto. Farmland and suburbs. I didn't have neighbours at one point. The whole place was stopped from sliding rural povety by people working in the City and bringing City wages back.

In summary, I can't wait to move to a city.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

There were several nice alcohlic girls living there but they weren't my type. Still the land was dirt cheap and the people were friendly. I dare say a guy who wasn't a jerk could screw half the girls in town with no problem.
