...and all of a sudden, next week's game vs. the Falcons is for control of the division. I love it.

I guess New Orleans didn't like all the crap about Tampa having the best defense... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I wouldn't call it getting owned, ixnay, especially since the Saints got NOTHING aside from one good drive in the first half. Man... that third quarter was a ****ing nightmare to watch, though. It was almost as if we wanted to give them the game... I think it says a lot, though, about how far our offense has come, when it gave us a chance to get the ball back and send it to OT if the D could have only stopped that freaking pass on third down (I will hand it to Haslett, though - that was a gutsy call and a right one, as we were caught completely off guard).

No matter - I almost prefer we lose one or two now so that we're primed when the big time comes. Atlanta showed signs of weakness this week - they're going down next Sunday

Aside: Who can guess what the worst omen in football is? I'll give everyone a guess... *CLONG*

Well, it's clearly a bad omen to be called the favorite from your conference to get to the super bowl. Denver went down big time, and keeps sinking. Miami went down. Packers went down twice, handing it to Tampa. Who promptly went down, handing it to... (my preseason pick) Philly????????

                uh-oh.

btw, after Philly falls, I think it will be the 49ers turn... We could have a season with no 13-game winners. Can't remember that happening in the past 20 yrs.

                It's wide open.

Great game between San Diego and Denver. Let's see if SD can score this time in OT.
I know what you mean. The unlucky team usually wins.

I said in my official choice that Miami wins Super Bowl, and I'm STILL comfortable with that choice.

Plus they all play in the AFC, which is full of teams that have tooled their defenses to stop the pass.

Dolphins although my fav in the AFC will self destuct as always at or near the post season.

Eagles my fav NFC team showed me something. It wasn't pretty but you gotta give em credit. Steppin up when there is no QB to speak of. Go defense, Go defense, Go defense!

May not be the strong contender they were before McNabb went down but I wouldn't mind seein' them match up against the Succanears in the post season.

PS. Vick is amazing. Go Falcons!!! (Chop block Sapp!)

I'm still hopeful about the Pats: they have one tough road-game ahead against the Titans, but for the rest intra-divisional home-games, should be exciting.

Reismark trying to justify the loss after bragging all week that Tampa would get revenge . Looks like the Saints just OWN the Bucs.

Atlanta should win next week too. Saying Atlanta shows weakness... That's how they've been winning ALL year. It's Vick leading the team to come from behind wins. Especially impressive considering Dunn was out for plenty of the game.

As for the best defense in the league? I think the Eagles have shown again and again that they own that title (even though they did it against some rookie OL yesterday after the starters went down).

btw, Sloww, I love Tomlinson. And speaking of AFC poremier RBs, what happened to Eddie George? Is he still in recovery or something?

You know what was amusing. Ricky Williams runs for 220+ yards, and STILL loses by 10! Bledsoe has been amazing this year.

And Tomlinson wasn't the only good RB in that game, Portis has basically locked up Rookie of the Year.

Interestingly, I just saw the inside track for Home Field. Now PHILLY has it. Bucs fans should be afraid, very afraid. Especially since McNabb will be back for the playoffs .

And right behind Oakland and ahead of Pittsburgh in the AFC? That's right, the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS. Think Dungy is going to be in the running for Coach of the Year? You better believe it! (though Andy Reid has the award in hand ).
