Hey! Don't you be bashing Chandler - at least he took my team to the Super Bowl.

Lost, yes, but hell - you think we Atlantans are picky 'bout such minor details?

NO ONE IS OUT OF THE PLAY, no matter how far from the action.

That's the ***** way of justifying Sapp's actions. Yeah 'no one is out of it' BS, because that is all it is... BS! Way to justify a headhunter, and proud of it headhunter as well!

I don't have a problem with the fact that Sapp took out Clifton. I do have a problem, though, with the way he launched himself at clifton's head from his side and caught him completely unaware. There was absolutely no need for him to administer the hit he did when a simple block would have worked.

OK, up by 12, kick the PAT, up by 13....Fassel says "Go for two!!!!
            Go for two?
The Giants can't even put it in from the one, he's trying for two???
            Moron.

OK, forget it, we are up by 5, first and goal at the one, 3:40 left, games in the bag....A running play?
            Stuffed.
OK, shake it off, 2nd down, a running play????
2 yard loss, still have third down, we can clinch it here, come on Kerry....INCOMPLETE???
OK, kick the FG, up by 8, we have a decent D, don't panic...
            Why is Fassel playing PREVENT????
            Get after McNair, he's injured!
            TD with 9 seconds left.
OK, they are set for Two, smart money is a QB draw, look for it Fassel....McNair takes the snap, and runs it in untouched.

OK, OT, we win the toss.
Kerry hits Shockey, we are in Titans territory, and in buisness...
Big completion to Toomer...what, he pushed off?
3 plays later, we punt, come on D!
Hey, why is Fassel STILL playing PREVENT????
Moron, they only need a FG!!!!
Nedley drills it, Titans 32 Giants 29
            Playoff hopes dead.
If he had kicked the PAT, Giants win 30-29

            FIRE FASSEL! NOW!!!!

dammit Imran. You can't advocate retaliation.

That would be a violation of game rules.

2 wrongs don't make a right. at least not in this case.

And of course warren sapp didn't actually do anything wrong. he is an ******* of course. Some of thes defensive players objective is to hurt the other team. And I admit he intentially hit the guy to hurt him. He was probably frustrated because of his poor play that game. But amazingly that hit was legal.

Sapp better hope the Bucs don't have to go to Lambeau in the playoffs, he just might end up kissing his kneecaps goodbye.

                    • Hey, Imran, I thought we were talking about NFL football.

I have heard no one involved in the league call for a rules change, a fine, a suspension, or anything of the sort vs. Sapp. The most common reaction is to say that Clifton should have watched out for himself.

that includes the victim, who says he DID see it coming.

It's a vicious game played by large, powerful men. Players risk life and limb for a big paycheck and a bit of glory. The know the risks.

                      • Yeah, we are talking about NFL football, and I think people are saying that BS because that's what they are supposed to say. Many, however, probably feel the hit was waay wrong.

And yes, Dissident, I'm advocating retaliation, of the worst kind.

                        • Legal hit or no, the most repulsive part of the Sapp display was his celebration and complete lack of remorse for a fellow fallen warrior.

For that alone he deserves censure.

For that alone he deserves comeupance (sp?).

                          • Not just that, but obviously Sapp waited until Clifton turned his head to smack him. Hell, Sapp NEVER blocks on a return. He walks around all happy. This is the first time I've ever seen him block on an INT. But he tries to hide behind it now, sick.

                            • Now that, I'll agree with.
Celebrating another player down, clean hit or not, is disgusting.

Despite my Philly nature, I feel this is the code of the athelete. And although I've ribbed you before re: Irvin and those Cowgirls, what goes on the field is completely different in my mind then what goes on in the stands. I hold the atheletes to a higher standard then the crass Joe fan.

Dang what is this? If Philly fans and Cowboy fans can agree there might be hope for a ME peace accord.
