It was annoying that I couldn't see the whole trilogy but I loved the style of animation. Haven't seen it for awhile so I'm not sure but I remember loving it. The new one was so over dramatic it was ridiculous.

Peter O'toole sounds right for Dumbledore.

Although being dead could be a problem....
Yes, being dead would be a problem. If he was. But he isn't. Rumors of his death were slightly exagerated.

That must sound perverted to someone who hasn't read the books or seen the movie.

I'll agree with Guynemer that this was much better than the first one, even though the second book was the worst.

However, I have two rants! (Spoilers coming)

The snake is too goddamn fat and slow and stupid! It's length was good, but it was too fat! Snakes are supposed to be sly and slithery and thin and quick, not fat oversized worms!

Other rant - I didn't like the end of the chamber scene. In the book, the sequence of events goes:

        Harry gets bitten
        Harry kills snake
        Harry is dying, Tom gloats
        Fawkes crys, Harry heals
Harry kills Tom by destroying the book

In the movie Harry gets healed after he kills Tom, which is much less dramatic.

Well, I don't particularily like Led Zeppelin.

So? And without James Fenimore Cooper there would be no Westerns. Doesn't mean Cooper's works sucked.

Do you think that Jaws is the best blockbuster movie ever, because every blockbuster movie sprung from Jaws?

                  That's just silly!

"Better" is purely a matter of taste. I like them both. However if it wasn't for the movies, I would never have picked up the books.

                          yeah it is...

but i on what laurels can we judge anything anymore?

gross ticket sales doesnt really mean jack considering it costs 9.25 to see a goddamn movie nowadays...
and considering harry potter is specifically marketed to young children who have read the books and believe its the greatest thing since amsterdam its like shooting fish in a barrell. im not impressed with harry-mania especially among people who are old enough to have children...

Books are always better than the movies...

Well except for Fellowship of the Ring, the movie was better than that book . Though I think the next two LOTR movies won't be as good as the book. I'm looking forward, though, to (SPOILERS) when Sam thinks Frodo is dead and takes up the ring.
