  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets!

Two weekends ago, Harry Potter made $88 million. That's 3rd in history behind Spiderman and Harry Potter 1.

I just saw it, and wow! Very nice indeed. Kenneth Branaugh was wonderful as Gilderoy Lockhart. And although I would have liked to see more of Creevy and Ginny in the movie (it was already close to 3 hours long), it was really nice, especially the big fight at the end!

It only gets more and more darker, with more killings. I wonder when the first PG-13 Harry Potter will come out (apparently they had to make some cuts to make this movie be PG) .

    Not listening! Not listening!

I'm still waiting for Torg Potter and the Chamberpot of Secretions.

Actually, I thought that that Torg Potter thingy was one of the least inspiring things they've done in Sluggy Freelance for some time - though those Christmas elf thingies come close.

It's still a good comic, mind.

Who do you think they will get to play Dumbledore's character now that Harris is dead?

It was a much better movie than the last one, from my p.o.v.

I'm not entirely sure. It has to be someone with a British accent, of course.

I'm really wondering who is going to be Sirius Black in PoA.

I'm not entirely sure. Sir Alec Guiness (when he was alive of course) would have been perfect.

Wouldn't it be funny if Ian McKellan became Dumbledore? Actually that's probably who I'd like to see play the role.

The stupid platinum blond kid cannot act, I just wanted to throttle him.

What about the guy that plays Gandalf in LOTR (i've forgotten his name). He could play Dumbledore.

                        Alternatively: What about Peter O'Toole??

That's Ian McKellan, Imran mentioned him earlier.
He'd be the obvious choice, it'd be funny if it was him.

Is the second film actually good then. I love the books, but thought the first film was crud. I didn't think the script writers did a good job, they sucked all the humour out of it.

The books get better and better as they go along (darker and more mature), so hopefully the film's will too.

When the hell is the 5th book coming out??????????????????
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

The second book has always been my least favorite, but the second movie is, without question, a vast improvement on the first film.

My fiancee and I were talking about a new Dumbledore, and we both thought of McKellan... I think that's definitely a decent possibility, because isn't LOTR owned by the same studio? I also thought of Sean Connery... that would certainly be a change for him. Patrick Stewart could do it, but he would have to get a lot of makeup to make him look sufficiently old.

Speaking of looking old, I want the actor/actress who plays McGonnagal in the Harry Potter death pool. Christ, she looks old.
