hey, did the Lions have a bye week too? My cousin is a big time Lions fan and when we were flipping channels @ my house, we didn't see any Lions game on ESPNnews.

              Reis:

Visit ESPN for live scores, highlights and sports news. Stream exclusive games on ESPN+ and play fantasy sports.

Just when you wondered if the Tampa Bay Bucs would ever throw the ball deep up the field, Brad Johnson guns one 76 yards to Keyshawn Johnson for the biggest play in a 20-6 victory at Atlanta. Nice timing, guys. The score now means that Keyshawn has two touchdown catches in the last 21 games. But, heck, Chicago middle linebacker Brian Urlacher and Browns guard Shaun O'Hara each have one touchdown grab in the same span, so Keyshawn shouldn't be gloating too much. In fact, his touchdown catch on Sunday only allowed the Tampa Bay wide receivers as a group to stay even with the team's linebacker corps in touchdowns scored. Four each. Derrick Brooks scored for the third time this season.

New offense? Seems like the same one to me.

Yep... The Bears get a week to rest up, and then get to play the Lions, and then the Vikings. So I hope the Vikes and Lions play a real TOUGH game next week and any good players get injured

You kinda mentioned it.... the Pats. Most definetly you jumped on that one.
Oh COME ON. I picked them and got excited about them for ONE FREAKING GAME because I was so desperate to see St. Louis lose... I didn't pick New England for my season pick and I hardly mentioned them in my other thread (where I lauded the AFC West). Please... I'd hardly call it bandwagon jumping.

So I guess it was inexcusable when Farve was throwing 10 more picks than TD in his 2nd year, when Montana was getting destroyed in his 2nd year? 2nd Year for QBs is not very good, as history has shown us.
The picks aren't what's inexcuseable... the lack of any meaningful yardage is what is. I highly doubt Farve or Montana ever had a game where they couldn't even muster 40 total yards passing...

                  What Tuberski said.
                  *sighs*

New Orleans: Underrated team with good offense and strong defense. Best team we've played, so it's good that the loss came against them.
Baltimore: Still has a tough defense, and the offense seems to have waken up (and it ain't exactly happened against weak teams). Hardly a pushover.
St. Louis: Was still a "good" team when we faced them since they had Warner and the defense hadn't betrayed them. Has had chance to win every game except last one.
Atlanta: Before this, they'd had near misses against one of the toughest defenses in the league (Chicago) and Green Bay, IN Lambeau.

Conclusion: The quality of a team is not made apparant by its won-loss records. Thanks for playing, try again...

Bull****. You were on them for the entire playoffs. They made you all hard.

Then you don't know much about Farve or Montana. They've definetly have had less than 40 yards passing in a half (and Vick was knocked out before then).

                    --

And as Tuberski said, the combined record of the teams faced by Tampa is abyssmal. You are living in past, assigning some sort of value to what you think some teams should be. The fact of the matter is Tampa isn't that good, no matter how much you wish it to be so.

Let's go to the videotape, Bob!

Wild Card Round: Pats don't play, I pick the Steelers to win the Super Bowl
Divisional Playoffs: Pick Pats and Steelers in going with every favorite (except Rams, of course)
Conference Championships: Go down in flames picking Steelers
Super Bowl: Reluctantly pick Patriots after talk with Drake

So did I jump on a bandwagon? Maybe... but it would have been the Steelers', certainly not the Patriots. Sorry, but thanks for playing; do try again

Vick was out in the middle of the third quarter. Look at the recaps yourself.

Yeah, reluctantly picked the Patriots . You are the biggest bandwagon jumper I've ever seen. Just because you pick a team doesn't mean you don't like another team. I might like the Jets, that doesn't mean I'm going to pick them to beat Miami!

Vick was out in the middle of the third quarter. Look at the recaps yourself.

Whatever, doesn't diminish the fact that Montana, Farve, even Elway (though not Marino) have had less than 100 yards passing in a game.

Just you wait, boyo. Just you wait.

Keep telling yourself that. You have for the past 3 years with no success.

All I'll say is you said the same thing to yourself for four years with regards to the Yankees before they failed to succeed, so it'll only be so much longer before the tides turn here as well.

Man, this argument needs a mediator. Is Steve Spurrier available?

The Bucs won't get respect till they win a championship, so all that bickering is pointless.
