    Yes, I modelled it.

I used several methods: First, simple things are done by basic objects, which you can create in C4D simply per mouse click. For the more complex structures I made spline curves, turned them into "rotate objects" or extruded them (sorry, i´m not sure if these are the correct english expressions). Also, I used boolean ops to "cut" out parts.

      BeBro: Nice sails

Those units I posted are some sort of pre-pre-desings for a game called FreeAC. It's a game inspired by SMAC. You can find additional info about the project from Apolyton's SMAC forum.

Here's another one for the game...

            aaglo,

What methods did you use to make those eroded rocks?

In Pov-Ray I used height fields. Look from help how to use them.

                  Great job, aaglo

For me the most difficult part is to model "organic" structures - humans, animals, etc...

Here´s a pic of a knight I planned to use as title pic for a civ2 scenario (but then I choosed another pic). The models of the human body and the horse came from the net, I modeled the weapons, armor, shield, helmet, clothes etc. The background is a scanned image...

Yes, I only use C4d. I tried demos of other 3d software, but still I can achieve the best results with C4d.

                      Nice church, btw
