  • If they weren't all killed in 1941 then how was it overthrown?

(dont know about this, but it's always fun to point out Dino's chasmical schisms of logic )

I don't remember bread lines in Russia too. I remember lines for meat, but not for bread.

It was overthrown by a stumbling drunk in 1991, IIRC.

          • I don't see anything noble about it.
and you perpetuate the stereotype of the braindead/brainwashed american

            • Brainwashed?

Hardly. Brainwashing is what gives us political correctness. Brainwashing gives us people who think the united states had no effect on the second world war.

              • Well the "communist experiment" had as its initial aim the betterment of the appauling living conditions of tens of millions.

So I can certaintly see that such a goal is noble.

                • paiktis: I'm afraid that there was more than one goal going on here.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

Brainwashing is what makes you post in this thread at all, and brainwashing is what made me mad about it

Everyone is wrong and if you argue about it you're even more wrong.

                        I'm wrong too heh

If you call someone else brainwashed, YOU are brainwashed.

                          Make a simple calculations:
                          moomin data:
                          *** Period Years Total killed

                          Civil War From 1917 3,284,000
                          Terror: 750,000
                          Concentration Camps: 34,000
                          Forced Famine : 2,500,000

                          NEP 1923 2,200,000
                          Collectivization 1929 11,440,000
                          Terror: 1,733,000
                          Deportations: 1,400,000
                          Concentration Camps: 3,306,000
                          Forced Famine : 5,000,000

                          Great Terror 1936 4,345,000
                          Terror: 1,000,000
                          Deportations: 65,000
                          Concentration Camps: 3,280,000

                          Pre-WWII 1939 5,104,000
                          Terror: 1,932,000
                          Deportations: 283,000
                          Concentration Camps: 2,889,000

Sum of all vitims 1917-1941= 43.495.000
Add this number to real population of SU in 1941= 43.495.000+191.000.000=234.495.000
                          Devide this number on 100:
                          234.495.000/100=2.344.950
and now devide the number which moomin claims to be true on this number to find out the figures in percents:
                          43.495.000/2.344.950=18.548% of total population.
It's almost 1/5, it means ifmoomin's figures correct then Soviets killed almost 1/5 of its population for period of time since 1917 untill 1941. This is total bull****.

                          2) It was overthrown.
                          Really?
Can you prove that it was overthrown by POPULATION?

No actually you, che, and several others are responsible for that. I avoid them at all costs.
