In what concerns GDP, I found the following numbers in the CIA factbook.
Russia
GDP -- $1.12 trillion (PPP, 2000 est.)
per capita -- $7,700
Poland
GDP -- $327.5 billion (PPP, 2000 est.)
per capita -- $8,500
Luk's data should correspond to GDP expressed in dollars at the (speculative) exchange rate. Even so, Russia's number seems too low. It should be about $350-400 billion.
Do you want to say that their numbers are approximately the same?
