    Should the dollar be allowed to float freely we will enter a hyperinflationary economy because people here don't trust the peso and they'll still rush out to buy dollars: the price of the dollar will soar and cause yet another hyperinflation- after 1989, inflation is a bad word in Argentine politics and the Argentine population cringes and cowers in fear at its utter pronouncement.

I don't think that any government should have to be liable for loans taken out by an undemocratic government forced upon them. All of the subsequent loans have more or less been to service the previous loans.
      Just another argument for not funding the IMF. (Money goes to governments. Money goes to dictators. Money goes to corruption.) I guess all those evil "isolationist conserrvatives" were right about how silly the IMF was...
