Hey, it's older than me, probably, and I knew it. No excuse. Reruns are always on, after all...

Given the strenuous matches that SK has been in, their team is probably still reovering from exhaustion, so I'd give Germany a slightly better than even chance to win. Probably around 55% - 45%.

It wasn't a 6-0 victory like you said. I'll be cheering for Korea because:

          1) They are the underdog
          2) Want to see a non Euro/Latino team advance
          3) Germany sucks

My heart is with the Koreans. My mental faculties are with Germany. Come on! Midnight strikes for Cinderella at some point. Sorry Yin.

I would like to watch the news if Korea won it all though.

want to see korea win... because if they win, they'd play in japan, and it'd be great to get that far, for multiple reasons.

odds are, though, germany will win.

then again, my calls are usually bad. i've been a fan for korea, albeit a very pessimistic one, so. (helps cushion disappointment~ works with the atlanta braves in the postseason...)

He also handled co-hosts Japan's exit 1-0 at the hands of semi-finalists Turkey in the second round in Miyaki.

The Italian was named the best referee in the world for the fourth time in January. His impressive CV of top matches includes refereeing the 1996 Olympic final won by Nigeria.

England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson summed up his appeal: "Collina, he is a guarantee -- I guess he's one of the best, if not the best referee, in the world today."

you just miss one point. the game will be reffed by Urs Meier, not Collina

LOL! Actually, I'm talking about another Meier who managed to completely underwhelm us all by delegating Civ3 to a bunch of clowns. That's for another thread, of course, but the name itself gives me great worries now as somebody who might let the linesmen make all the calls.
