Loin can carry everyone across, and save Che as well.
Works for me, although I'm still pining over the loss of my little spidery friends...

I'll set my sword to Dancing mode in order to protect us as I fly everybody across the pit. I also laugh uproarously at Che for not being able to jump across a measly five foot chasm. I suggest that he receive a -1 to his attack rolls for the next two rounds due to his unbearable shame.

Hey, it's quite warm in here. This chinking suit of armour on, I'm sweating like a pig. (In reference to Vlad's note that it's warmer here, of course)

          Kass:

I said that the platform itself is warmer. The chamber air is normal temperature for a cave.

Okay. You follow the invisible bridge to a ledge on the other side.

You come to a door at the end of another corridor. It's locked, and it looks quite heavily reinforced. (It's made of pure iron.)

Will you look around for another door?

I'm a thief with high strength (think swashbuckler kit in BG2), duel wielding two magical short swords, with magical shadow leather armor.

I quaff a potion of master theivery (or whatever) and I try to pick the lock.

(Oh, and on the way over the invisible bridge, pull che up)

                Rand:

You're an elf, so you can find hidden doors easily (1 or 2 on a d6) if you search. Where will you search?

(The corridor we just went through is around 300 feet long and curved to the right. We can't see the bottomless pit chamber from where we are right now.)

Oh, I must be ill then! Maybe a spider has managed to poison me or something. I will ignore the door as I start to feel nausea and sit down on the floor, panting loudly...

(uh, please don't let me die? )

I use a 'Cure Poison' potion on Kassiopeia.

                    • Imran:

You're sixth-level, so that means your "Pick locks" ability is at 75% or thereabouts.

The lock is VERY complex, so a -40% modifier would be applied.

                      *rolls ability check*

Wow, a 1 on a 1d100. You definitely picked the lock.

And not five feet beyond the door is... another door, locked by an even more complex lock!

You take a break to give the poison to Kass.

*rolls d20 to determine success* Success! Poison cured.

                      • I cast slow poison on Kass and, if he's allright after that, search for a hidden door.

                        • Uh, I'm feeling better now. Thanks fellas.
Let me sit down for a while... that iron door looks like I won't be able to do a scratch to it.

                          • I interrupt my searching briefly to throw a dirty look at Imran for muscling himself in on my territory.

Sorry, read Imran's post first. You don't have to take a break from searching now.

If there are any doors hidden in this corridor, they're quite well-concealed. You can't see any hidden doors.

As you continue a search down the corridor, you reach where the bottomless pit room should be. Instead, the corridor just continues into what looks like a maze.

                              Care to continue?

                              • After making sure the rest of the gang is with me, yeah, with Imran ahead detecting traps I hope.
