I take it that it is blocking the way?

I'll throw fine powder to check for invisible bridges.

You see an invisible bridge with the powder. However, the closest point it gets to the ledge is 5 ft away.

      Anyone gonna jump?

        Sure, I'll do it.

I was going to be an iron golem thief but that was disallowed. So I am now just a lowly ranger.

What the hell? I take out my +2 Bong of Toking (it's a Snodgrass, by the way) and get lit up like a candle.
Of course, I dig into my rations and have a hunk of cheese in one hand and a marshmallow in the other. Hope nothing creeps by...

Don't bother jumping, I've got wings. I'll carry your asses across the ledge.

I say we go talk to the spiders a bit. Maybe they just want to be friends, or possibly even life partners. Wutang!

Does it matter if i joijn in, and that I don't know anything that is not in Baldur's Gate? Anyway, I wanna be a male Elvish Druid. Can I just jump right in or do I have to pass the spiders first?

Oy, I could hop in with Rand Al'Tor, because my experience of this game is exactly the same.

Or are you purists who scorn any "wannabe" players like me?

Edit: I'd be a male Paladin, Andreas, of course, and I could help get Rand through them spiders.

                        Loin:

The spiders turn down the offer of friendship. As a result, you urinate on them. This forces them to retreat to their holes.

                        Felch, Sneak:

If you want to try and jump across now, you'll have to make a Jumping check at -6 (stoned). Or you could just get Loin to fly you over.

                        Rand, Kass:

As the spiders are out of the way, you follow Loin back to the bottomless pit room. Are you going to jump across?

                        Che:

*rolls dice* You fail to land; instead, you're gripping the edge of the invisible bridge. You note that it's warmer than the normal temperature in this room.

I'll wait for Loin to fly me over I think. In the meantime I try to think of a Druid spell that can help Che.

Hmmm, I'm so bulky and have heavy equipment that I don't think I can neither jump or get flown over. I think I'll try to find a rope or a log I can use to cross it.

Ah I think of one. Bless (okay, so I looked that up.) I ask Che if he needs help

Loin can carry everyone across, and save Che as well.
