    BUT
It's not cowardly for terrorists (be they Pals, Israel, Al Queda, Northern Ireland or whoever) to blow up civilians on school buses, cafes, whatever.
I'd like to see you volunteer for a suicide bomber position. Cowardly indeed.

P.S. Are you admitting that there are Israeli terrorists?

Consistent is not the same as valid, let alone sound.

You are absolutely right Troll. The Trinity IS a fine example of inconsistent thinking.

Jesus sits at the right of god.
        Jesus is god.
No one has seen the face of god.
        Jesus preached to the masses.
        We sinned
        Jesus paid the price
        Jesus died on the cross
        Jesus is an imortal god
The Trinity is a basic tenet of christianity
The Bible is the source of information on christianty
The Trinity is not in the Bible at all.

Yes a truly fine exampe of inconsistant thought.

Ethelred can be counted on to consistently be an ass.

It not my fault that Troll likes to live up to his handle.

The Trinity IS inconsistent. Go ahead show me where its mentioned in the Bible. It was invented sometime after 300 AD. Constantine started up the Council of Nicea which got together and tried to make things a little less messy, as at the time there was no standard dogma nor even a standard Bible. Neither the Old nor the New Testament had been assembled into their present form. Somehow the Trinity came out of this.

If you can explain where it came from in a consistent, logical and Biblicaly justified manner I will be pleased. I personally have no problem with the general concept of a triune god.

Its just the details of all the other beliefs have conflicts with it. Its not a big mystery how it could be that way despite the frequent claims that it is imponderable to humans. The only mystery is what justifies the claim in the first place since it simply is not in the Bible and it does cause those conflicts I mentioned.

If you wanted to keep the thread on a silly level I am not the best choice of people to call an ass.

                  Who the hell cares, Ethelred?
I personally couldn't care less if you believe, or what you believe.
Leave it to you to take a thread on consistentcy, and use it to argue about something unrelated.
As I said, you are a consistent ass, which is at least consistent.
                  What else?

I didn't , Troll did. I only responded to Troll's post and pointed out the inconsistency. You chose to turn it into something else. Inconsistant as always you chose to blame the messenger instead the actual off topic poster.

When Jesus got nailed up on the cross his response was to ask God to forgive the soldiers and people who did it to him. I think that's a very good case for leading by example.

As for inconsistencies between the old and new testaments, as Jesus was specifically sent to correct people's misconceptions about what the ideas in the Old Testament if you are a Christian you should follow his ideas of peace, love and forgiveness over the Old Testament's concept of eye for an eye style justice.

So the Christian thing to do about terrorists would be, obviously, to forgive them and carry on living your peaceful loving Christian life.
