Have you taken note of some people's expressed opinions here?
If you have, you 'll notice the following:

USA sucks because they bombed Afghanistan, killing civilians, who shielded Bin Laden's boys.
BUT
It's not cowardly for terrorists (be they Pals, Israel, Al Queda, Northern Ireland or whoever) to blow up civilians on school buses, cafes, whatever.
But
We're losing some of our civil liberties,
But
We don't want to lose our family, or our own life, to terroristic acts.

I could go on and on.

It would be laughable , were it not so grim.

Person 1: The Civil War wasn't about slavery.
Person 2: Here it is, and here's 100 bajillion first-hand documents proving Southern leaders seceded over slavery and the southern populace felt they were defending slavery.

Things aren't always black and white. People can want to not lose civil liberties and still want to be safe. There is such a thing as compromise and middle-ground.

Thought you might be referring to me because of my assertion that suicide bombers aren't "cowards" per se, but simply evil people/terrorists.

These are not mutually exclusive. Thinking that the killing of innocent civilians is wrong does not mean that someone who kills himself to do so is cowardly. Despite faith that you will be rewarded by GOD, it is counter to your instincts to self-terminate. If anything, it's more cowardly to kill civilians from a safe distance without risk to yourself.

Again, not mutally exclusive. Bureaucratic and political foul-ups, not freedom, contributed to the ability of the attackers to hit us. I can have my freedom and my safety at the same time if people did their jobs correctly. Giving the same f*ck-ups more power doesn't increase my security at the same time that it diminishes my freedom.

I'm thinking USA now. USA doesn't have the double-standard policy: it fights terrors, so it supports Israel, another country fighting terror.

There's no difference between Fatah, Hamas etc. fighters and Taleban and Al-Qaeda fighters.
