I was going to suggest to ask people and get a screenshot the next time they get the BSOD
<Kassiopeia> you don't keep the virgins in your lair at a sodomising distance from your beasts or male prisoners. If you devirginised them yourself, though, that's another story. If they devirginised each other, then, I hope you had that webcam running.
Play Bumps! No, wait, play Slings!

Slight problem - because the system has gone down, you can't get a screenshot

A photo would have to suffice

It's a matter of taste. I have my personal style and Asher has his. Whatever, I still sleep easy at night knowing I have a computer that works great…

Exuse me, what is wrong with win me.
i've had nothing but bad luck with it.
          brand new computer, p4/1.7ghz, 256mb rdram, 60gb hd, geforce 3 64mb.
first week i had it, didn't install anything... winme crashes. system restore won't bring it back. reinstalling winme casuses every single driver to screw up. once i get it back up, after two days straight working on it, the first msdos program i try to run freezes the comp.
this happens when you take a perfectly fine win9x chassis, and try to slice off the msdos bit with a chainsaw and file down the rough edges.

i switched to winxppro when i got the chance. did a full wipe of the hd, then formatted it.
          it's run fine ever since.

See, that line of argument is such a cop out. Yes, it may work, but a damn sight slower but at a considerable cost. Consider buying a PC for your next system monolith Have you ever considered helping Apple with their advertising campaign?

Provost, how often do you use Macs? You sound like a typical Mac-bashing PC user.

I have used Macs before and they are certainly not all they are cracked up to be. I found it quite sluggish (although admittedly it was an old one) and pretty unstable.

Exactly. So Apple doesn't have the higher ground in this argument, that is what I am saying, especially when you look at how much they charge for the damn things compared to PCs, and then realise that modern PCs are faster than modern Macs.

Let's face it, the nature of Apple's advertising campaign is very negative: 'Because it works'? Well last time I checked, my PC worked fine, hence I am posting here...

i used an old mac the other day and it was sluggish, i don't know about unstable. i couldn't get past the sluggishness.

i used my old pc the other day and thought it very sluggish, so i shut it down. i again didn't get to the unstable part.
