It's poorly written. Dr. Drew invented a method of isolating blood plasma. He also created the first Blood Bank. A lot of people owe their lives to that man. It's rather common knowledge.

Of the top of my head, horseshoe seems rather suspicious. Could be a patent on a new type of horseshoe, however.

Some of the "inventions" on this website are indeed mere improvements on existing inventions.

To me it seems insulting to blacks when people make false claims to supposedly "boost their self esteem". It implies that blacks need to lie about their achievements in order to feel good about themselves, as if they have no real achievements to be proud of. Its PC racism.

Does blood plasma exist on it's own? No, it has to be made, by seperating the other component parts of blood, such as platlets, corpuscles, etc. You could make an argument that he did invent it. But as I said, it's poorly worded.

I meant of fake inventions. Art is often pooh-poohed by people seaking to denegrate Black folks. This list points to a number of scientific and technical achievements to sho both whites and Blacks that they are indeed capable of producing such work. Anyway, if I were you, before I go knocking down that list a few pegs, I'd follow the link to about.com and see just how much of the list is actually accurate (and how woefully inadequate it is).
