There should be an imposed referendum for the disputed provinces. Whoever wins keeps the lot.

Then whoever starts trouble after this gets sanctions etc.

that's the point. the UN would have to intervene, but it's too weak.

didn't the US intervene a few years ago when the parties were short before war?

I was at schooltrip then and never noticed anything about it, until it was mentioned on TV a year later.

Everyone who treatens to use nukes first is a rogue state and a terrorist. By those comments has Pakistan clearly proven that they are a danger for humanity, do You really think the bad effect of the nukes would be limited to India? No they will raise cancer in the whole region maybe even the whole earth.

Humanity must unite againsts those who treaten to use nukes to secure it's survival. No mather why they treat to use them, treating to usez nukes is over the line and unforgivable.

The Us has done it before, in the cold war

And NATO still has nuke use as a first strike option

if they think they're going to be anihilated they might as well take to hell their enemy too.

                it's only human unfortunately.

They won't be anihilated only there regime, but if they use nukes, yes then will the response maybe treuly anilate them.

That you might consider the dead of the majority of your population just for a temporaly gain in a conflict is beyond me.

Kolpo, if only in a war only the heads of the regimes fought...
if there will be a war, they will most propably lose.
instead of accepting that fact they threaten to anihilate large part of India and themselves.

Also, the people are not fond of India either. It is not just a question of replacing a regime with a more "peaceful" one.
althoyugh public opinion is being manipulated hugely. (as it is in our "civilized" world too)

Indian government also received pressure from the people to "do something" about the attackes on kasmir (and on the parliement)

Organize a poll in the population, where they can choose between:

                        a) Accepting that terrorims in kasmir must be fought
                        b) Being anilated by nukes.

Also I don't think that Indiawants to control Pakistan, I just think that they want them to give up trying to gain control of the Indian part of Kasmir. If Pakistan would officailly announce that they accept the current borders of kasmir until ethernity will there be peace.

                          yes but it won't.

kasmir is rich in natural resources and it has a large muslim population which facilitates Pakistan's wish to claim it.

Yeah. I haven't seen any commentary yet as to why anyone would desire this territory.
