I'm gonna get nailed for this: PAC-MAN!
I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

Black & White. Finnish reviewers gave it 97/100 or 96/100 (That's historical score)
without actually playing the game... Man was I pissed off when I realized
the game was planned for kids...

you mean Q3 arena? It's months of mindless fun in a box.

Sure, unless of course you've played UT.

Quake 3 is decent, it's just totally outclassed by UT in pretty much every way. Except maybe that "Longest Yard" level, which stacks up pretty well even against UT.
        All syllogisms have three parts.
Therefore this is not a syllogism.

Too funny to lynch you You are free to set your standards as you like to, but this one is particularly ridiculous. When rating a game you should compare it to existing games and not those produced several years later. With your standards, every C64 game is far more overrated than Civ2, compared to today's top games.
Why doing it the easy way if it is possible to do it complicated?

Red Alert got mentioned 3 times but noone said anything about Tiberian Sun? To me as a fan of the original C&C the only game in that Series I did not like was Tiberian Sun, even though I prefer the C&C universe to the Red Alert scenario.
TS was unballanced (NOD artillery) boring/slow and in many ways not well designed (the transformable terrain). It was highly overrated, too at least in every preview I read, Westwood even made fake screenshots for those.
Interested in creating a TBS game similar to Colonization?

I feel the same way about all westwood games.

Lemmings. I play it anyway though. The game that's stayed on my HDD for the longest.

Of new games, I'd say AoK.

True, but you gave a special mention to RA1 which clearly belongs to TS. I actually liked RA even though the game is not really ballanced either: a tankrush usually works. My favourite is actually C&C followed by RA even though the latter is not very realistic. (Though more realism can still make a fun game, Osweld. )

Well, TB was one of the worst shit I ever seen, but it was not much hyped. RA was a tad better, but it got insanely good grades and was hyped everywhere. So thhough it's a little less bad than TS, it's still more overrated

It was a joke. k. But nostalgia is overated. Actually some C64 games have timeless quality; Spy Vs. Spy (I still play it emulated occassionally) sure they could be done it better today but no ones tried.
I do agree with you however and my favourite games of all time DOOM, Red Baron, Street Fighter 2, I would never played today but I still rank them higher than the games which have replaced them. The whole concept tho of rating games over time though is like rating apples against oranges.
