And the Southern Federation and Mongolian Empire are in talks with him about forming an alliance AGAINST the Lakes Pact. This entire war seems wholly premature.
If both of you do not end this war immediately I must intervene!

You still exist! Well, not all that much has happened really, except that Central America was taken from you by the Southern Federation ashort while ago. And that annexation seems to have caused an nth World War. Godunova and the Eastern European Empire took a firm stance against this annexation, as well as some alleged terrorist action of the Souther federation in Great Britain. Godunova dispatches an army, and after noticing this apparent threat, President Firelad of the Southern Federation decided to invade New Canada. Upon this act of war, the Godunovan army came into action and launched attacks on South America... In turn, that caused me to invade Godunova.

You might be the person to call for a cease fire... Or join in, of course.

The Chancellor of New Canada & Kaladar has declared Greater Mongolia and the Southern Federation enemies of the world.

"Whoever joins them is a terrorist." He has said. "We congratulate New Zealand, Godunova, Greater Finland, Palestine and the EEE in continuing to take the right side. Together, we shall crush the evil Empires."

Kaladar has also attacked all the African possessions of the Southern Federation on both sides using genetically engineered beavers that shoot acid at the cyborgey things that the Southern Federation has conjured up.

The apparent lack of resistance in Madagascar was explained when a massive fleet landed troops on the coast of India. Bombay and New Delhi have been captured in surprise attacks by the combined armies of Kaladar, Godunova and EEE. Finnish troops have also began moving into Siberia.

As for Madagascar, it is currently being ruthlessly blockaded...

Just a note about the moon laser: I was aware of the "rule" against nukes - only that I kinda thought that levelling someone's cities = WOMD... So I did the same. And even then, I didn't actually USE it, just threaten to. I'll edit out that part now, seeing as the bombing of cities to the ground didn't work anyway

Mark Firelad watches intently as Godunova attempts to destroy his invasion force.
He chuckles under his breath.
The evil attempt to massacre the civilians of the Southern Federation was, of course, largely unsuccessful - since most civilians were evacuated to refuges deep under the Andes. Of his aerial assaults, the SAF will take care. They're vastly superior, using direct computerised control in some warplanes and genetically engineered cyborgs in others.
The naval forces of the Southern Federation are deployed in a defensive position, effectively preventing any chance of naval invasion of South America; The Sothern carriers (while not having a cool name as Godunova's Mega-Carriers, are no inferior in technology), submarines and other vessles can withstand even the combined might of the world's powers.
Despite growing resistance, the Sheep-Armies press forward into New Canada, gradually taking over, using combined forces of great might. The New Canadian territory in South America has already been taken.
No troops are being spent on defence in Africa yet, but aerial convoys are constantly supplying the Southern Federation's ally Greater Mongolia with cloned reinforcements, as well as with scientists that help Mercator construct his own cloning centers for his favourite beast.
All in all, the war goes well for the New Alliance.

A transmission to Dalgetti's hyper-relays reads thus:
"David my friend! People of Incubia! Greetings from Earth!
I am very glad to hear of your success. May you grow yet more powerful than ever... And a more happy people. Here on Earth things are going much as they used to... Aggression and treachery and war.
I have been betrayed by your former neighbors, New Canada, and was ultimately forced to declare War. Fortunately, it is going rather well, and the Lakes Pact's attempts to destroy our people has been largely unsuccessful. Except for the terrible massacres in Africa. How I pain for the innocents!
But the Southern Federation shall liberate these lands.

Fare thee well, friend, and you as well, People of Incubia."

Firelad sank into his chair, smiling.

"Sir, you might want to turn on the television."

Chairman Frank, sleepy eyed, rolls over to turn on the World News.

"I fall alseep and wake up with the whole world a mess! I must make a statement to the people!"

"Sir, you have messages from the Southern Federation and Greater Mongolia."

Good, I will address them both.

Great leaders of Greater Mongolia and the Southern Federation,

As protector of all members of the Honolulu Pact, I must say that Southern Federation aggression into Central America is deplorable...but due to pressing matters the PRNZ will NOT intervene. Furthermore, I will join an alliance with Greater Mongolia and the Southern Federation but will not engage in aggressive hostilities toward other nations. My holdings of tropical beverages are a staple of PRNZ's GNP!
If Western Australia is given to the PRNZ, I will pledge our support to the "New Socialist Front".

Also, I will not tolerate any further aggression into Honolulu Pact-members territories! War will be declared against any nation who further invades OUR Pacific Rim....unless a more lucrative deal can be made....

(Soviet) Reuters- Chairman Frank has just announced that Soviet forces will tolerate the Southern Federation's occupation of Central America provided no more aggression takes place. Our leader further shocked the world by stating that he would ally with any Socialist-leaning country. Chairman Frank had this to say:

"Right now, aside from Honolulu-Pact members, I see the only ally to the PRNZ is none other than.....GREATER MONGOLIA and the Southern Federation! However, Soviet forces will not engage in hostilites with comrade nations in the Lakes Pact and the Honolulu Pact.

In the Comros, Zulu warriors under the command of Hobbes suddenly descend from their hiding places in the mountainous jungles, armed with laser-guided pointy sticks. The Mongolian forces are so unprepared for the surprise attack that they are shortly massacred to the last man, victims of a terrible, pointy death.

As the Mongolian army rolls across Arabia, it is stopped in its tracts by the massive tanks brigades of Godunova, universally acknowledged as the world's largest and finest mobile fighting force. The silly Mongols must have forgotten about the tanks, which were sent in when we conquered Arabia in the first place. An all-out battle ensues in which the tank treads become slick with the gooey insides of the pesky Mongols. But it's rather like swatting flies. The Godunovan airforce launches air support, wreaking utter havoc with laser-guided missles at the Mongol troops

Meanwhile, in the southern Atlantic, the fleet of submarines that had been delivering their payloads of missiles to the S. American cities turn are finished, and join in the raging sea battle. However, since they were already behind enemy lines, the Godunovan navy now has the Federation navy pinned on two fronts. Coming from an island originally, the Godunovans are superior seamen, and soon it is clear they inflicting enough massive damage on their fleet to insure its loss in a matter of hours.

In South America, there seems to be a sudden lull as the Godunovan fighter jets disappear from the skies. However, soon hundreds of submerged transports surface up and down the coast, and unleash their cargo into the flank of the sheep army--an army of cybernetically enhanced border collies. It's a horrific sight as the sheep are ripped to shreds by the dogs, or just coralled into harmless grazing patterns. Soon the might of the sheep army is no more, and the collie army assembles with it's eyes looking south...

Tsar Boris calls to an aide, "Now...Sink it."

"Are...are you sure, sir?"

"DO IT NOW!"

The aide gives an order. It turns out, the reason Madagascar was seemingly defenseless was that the population had been spirited away into deep internal bunkers. You see, Godunova began in Madagascar, and only a FOOL would think it is defenseless. For decades, the engineers had worked to turn into the same kind of lethal trap they prepared in Arabia.

At the press of a button, the entire island begins to sink into the ocean. With a deafening noise, the land slips beneath the waves rapidly. Torrents of water flood over the shocked Mongolian forces, drowning them by the hundreds of thousands in seconds. The massive swell from the sinking shatters the Mongolian fleet, and, unfortunately, wreaks havoc on the further-out fleet of Godunova's allies.

"Bring it back up after an hour" commands Boris. It will be soggy, sure, but mostly intact. Except, of course, for having to clean up all those dead Mongols.

Boris dispatches a message to the Southern Federation and Mongolia:

"As you can see, you are outnumbered, outmaneuvered and out-thought. Continued war will only mean continued destruction of your people. Already the Lake and Honolulu pacts are demolishing your forces. We suggest you sue for peace, and we can assure generous terms with minimal losses to your lands and prestige."

In the meantime, several black-clad commando teams that had been stationed in Eco-Alaska cross the Bering strait in secret and land on the eastern coast of Mongolian territory, secretly working their way inward undetected...

In an interview with Soviet reporters, Chairman Frank was asked about PRNZ membership in the Lakes Pact and it's conflict with the Southern Federation as well as Greater Mongolia. Smiling, Chairman Frank is quoted as saying,

"It is deplorable that our new allies are fighting against member-nations of the Lakes and Honolulu Pacts. However, I have stated that I will honor our alliances and stay neutral in the conflict.

As I stated before, it would take something drastic for me to order Soviet forces into the fray against any nation. We will remain a peacekeeper force in the Pacific and spread our tropical fruit drinks across the globe, if need be.

But, I must remind all fellow members of the Lakes Pact that even though we are not joining the conflict, we remain an adamant supporter of the "Lakes" and what it stands for....even if I don't know what it stands for!"

While Tsar Boris is grateful for Chairman Frank's condemnation of the atrocities of the Southern Federation and Mongolia, he reminds the Chairman that the Lakes Pact is one of Mutual Protection, and members are REQUIRED to declare war on a power that attacks a member of the pact. Now, had the war not been so clearly begun by the Southern Federation, I could understand your non-involvement. But the Federation clearly violated all precepts of international law by invading a sovereign nation and then suprise attacking Godunova and New Canada.

On top of that, President Mark then threatened, albeit ineffectually, to annhiliate the entire world with his "moon laser," and that would have included you as well. Clearly, he is a megalomaniac who must be stopped at all costs. You would be unwise to think yourself safe from his future aggression.

Mercator would also do well to reflect on this. Choosing demented madmen as allies always leads to ruin (ask Tojo and Mussolini...).
