Oh yes.... Southern border outposts have detected a strange massing of troops along the border with New Canada.

The new leader of the Southern Federation, Mark the Firelad, steps majestically up to the podium.
"Peoples and nations of the Solar System, greetings. I am glad to announce that I, Mark Firelad, shall now in the wake of out great departed leader, shall lead the Southern Federation. My path, our path, is a path of Peace. We do not seek war with other nations - all we want is to live our lives.
However, we must not forget the need for security. For how shall we conduct our lives without it? Some nations in this world may not respect us. Let those beware! For this proud people will not surrender to anyone's aggression.
I hereby declare an order of general conscription, for the defence and glory of the Motherland!"

The Southern State Department also released a statement of condemnation concerning the amassing of troops at the New Canadian border, and the annexation of Central America for "security reasons".
The Southern Foreign Minister has embarked on a voyage around the world, visiting potential allies in Africa, Europe and Asia.

Military sources report activity on all borders, and a large naval detachment travelling northeast on the Atlantic Ocean.

Meanwhile, the Dalgettists have established their state on one of the planets of the system of Vega, the Alpha star of Lira, distanced 5 light years from the sun. The planet , sized aproximately like the earth , and with the climate of mars ,has a magnetic field. It has enough water to cover it to the level of 1000 meters if it was a perfect shpere. This planet shall be called Incubia , in the name of the mystical being. The Incubian Federation is now 2,000,000 million people strong, and all couples are strongly encouraged to have as many people as possible ( 5% annual growth )

Breaking News:

Several commando raids in major cities of the British Isles have effectively destroyed the government there. Bystanders report that small groups of men, dressed in black, attacked key establishments and destroyed them.
Scottish locals also reported of a few laboratories that were invaded and that equipment was removed. As is evident from the many sightings, the raiders did not try to conceal their actions. They however met little resistance.

In other news, the Southern Federation has successfully completed a shipment of a rare breed of sheep to its Mars colony.

The unilateral Southern annexation of Central America, the rightful territory of Richelieu, has caused anger, fury, and disgust around the world.

The nations of the Lakes Pact & Honolulu Pact have jointly condemned this act by the Southern Federation.

"Richelieu is a member state of the Honolulu Pact, and thus if you don't pull out of Central America immediately, you will face the combined wrath of all Lakes Pact and Honolulu Pact members."

The Lakes Pact has also condemned the invasion of the British Isles.

"In case you haven't noticed, the British Isles are surrounded on 4 sides by Lakes Pact nations. This is just a friendly reminder from your next-door neighbors."

meanewhile, advanced cloning techniques on Incubia , complete with the gene randomizer , have created tens of millions of human beings, all differing from each other. The economy barely stands on Incubia, all research is halted and the economy has gone self-sustainable , with each adult caring for tens of kids ,and with only a small number of people being scientists and artists. most of people are peasants and teachers now, with the next generation's prospects looking very bleak. Dalgetti , now treated with gene therapy , is still pretty young, But very tired. The people follow him , but merely due to earlier memories of greatness, and lack of choice.

With the disappearance of the Dolphins, the official Land Grab for the Atlantic & Mediterranean (or should I say, Sea Grab) has begun.

The Lakes Pact nations have set up naval bases on Cyprus, Crete, Malta and Bermuda.

CNN report from Peru:
The Southern Federation, as a response to the condemnation issued by the Lakes and Honolulu Pacts, has released this public statement:

"Great Leaders of the Lake and Honolulu Pacts:
We are dismayed at your aggressive stance towards our country from the moment of the election of President Mark Firelad. All actions committed by the Federation are in self-defence only. We will not remove our presence from Central America as long as we are threatened by New Canadian troops at our borders, for we need that strategic territory for our defence against possible New Canadian aggression.
We are a people of peace. But we cannot stand idle as our neighbors threaten us with war, whether subtly or openly. We are forced to declare a state of emergency, in response to the statements and actions of New Canada and the Lakes and Honolulu pacts.
Again, we plead for peace, and warn the nations of the Lakes and Honolulu pacts that war with the Southern Federation may not be in their best interests.
Also, there was no invasion or occupation of the British Isles by the Southern Federation."

Military sources report that reinforcements are being sent by the Southern Federation to all its borders, as the situation deteoriates rapidly. Fire was exchanged at the Brazil-Columbia border, as both sides blame each other for violations.

In other news: Apparently, not everyone is afraid of war. South American shepherds are not dismayed by the grim prospect. The great herds of sheep that have graced the lands for generations only seem to grow.

In response, New Canada and her allies have issued a statement:

"We are horrified by the terrorist actions that you have committed in the British Isles, and view your denial of these allegations as laughable.

In addition, internal troop movements within the borders of New Canada are our internal affairs. You have struck first into our territories, and not the other way around. So there."

Demonstrators in New Canada burnt the Southern Federation flag and splashed the Southern Federation embassy with neon paint.

In other news, a beaver fell into the Amazon River today and was promptly chomped up by malicious piranhas. The owner of the beaver, a Colombian trader in various amazing substances, has condemned the piranhas, and dismissed allegations that the beaver was under the influence of his "amazing substances" as "ludicrous".

CNN breaking news:
A small herd of sheep, led by a middle-aged shepherd apparently attempting to visit an old friend, has crossed the Columbian border into Peru. In an unfortunate incident, Southern troops, viewing this as an invasion, have bombed the said herd and shepherd into mush. Immidiately, demonstrations began to rally around the country, calling for a "Strong Defence against Aggression". President Mark Firelad is unavailable for comment and is at an undisclosed location.

War looming in the Western Hemisphere:
Vast, unclear and white formations appear at the borders of Peru, Brazil, Mexico and the Central American Province of the Southern Federation and seem poised to cross the border. Warplanes patrol the skies above in a menacing manner.
New Canadian forces are confused as to sudden malfunctions of military equipment and attribute those incidents to Southern Sabotuers. Also, 3 New Canadian scout teams appear to be missing.
Military and Naval sources report that as many as 7 carrier groups are departing from Southern naval ports. There are also reports of troop movement inside Southern territories.

In other news:
A team of journalists has uncovered a major Applied Genetics and Cloning research lab in Argentina, speculating that the origin of some of the equipment may have originated in Britain. The team, before losing contact with CNN Headquarters, had also reported of numerous experiments in cloned sheep, exclaiming at one point over the jam-proof radio that "it's Dolly all over again!"
The Southern Federation Ministry of Science has feverently denied claims as to possible British origin of cloning equipment. "If you think we need to go to those silly brats in England to get our equipment, you are wrong. We are perfectly able to design and produce our own cloning and cyber-interface equipment."

This change of leadership has brought the world new vigour, President Firelad. I admire your strengths and wholeheartedly invite you to join me in a new pact.

But before we can do so, I find there is one essential partner, without whom we cannot go: The PRNZ is dear to my heart, and I would not want to let them miss out.
I know hom you value your communist principles, comrade frankychan... And I think we should strengthen our bonds. The Southern Federation would make an excellent partner. Due to the absence of the leaders of Tungstenia and Richelieu, both de facto under your command. The signing of this pact would mean the recognition of your rule over the Pacific, making Tungstenia and Richelieu your provinces. I'm sure we can then solve the issues of late between the Souther Federation and Richelieu (involving Central America) and we'd be able to find a middle ground.
If you would agree on joining Greater Mongolia and the Southern Federation. I will gift to you the territory of Western Australia.

AS for you, President Firelad, I can't give you anything yet, except my word, but if there's any land (outside of Eurasia) you desire, I am willing to help you conquer it.

I dearly thank you for your offer of alliance, and accept it. May our two countries prosper together! together with you, I too invite Comrade Frank to join us; the planned, socialist economy of the Southern Federation will prosper together with PRNZ's communism.
Friend, you have suggested your aid none too soon. The aggressive policies of New Canada has forced the Southern Federation into similar, admittedly aggressive actions. We will not fire the first rounds of war, but in a case of escalation we would be grateful for any aid you may render us in the struggle against New Canada and its allies. I would also be glad not to count Chairman Frank among those allies which we may be forced to battle.
