    I didn't like SW1, 4, 5, or 6, so I'm guessing I probably won't like 2 either.

That's different . Most of us liked 4, 5, 6... or at least 4 and 5 (I can see why 6 had to be made, but it wasn't that good).

Maybe I'm just being too cynical, I'm trying to think of the last movie I saw that I liked and I'm drawing a blank. Carry on.

Well... FOTR didn't suck. Not because I said it didn't but because other professional film reviewers watched the same thing I did and thought it didn't also. Not to mention the millions of fans who've been overwhelmingly supportive.

Now... the professional reviews for LOTR are Here

Also the huge benefit LOTR has is, in terms of a trilogy, is its simultaneous production. The great stuff you see here, will be seen in the remaining episodes. Watching them together will be a seamless experience.

        Unlike Star Wars.

Film, film, film... I'm confused. When did I ever mention a film here?

And how could I compare it to TT and ROTK if I was refering to the movies?!

                4 : MOTION PICTURE

Seeing as I wasn't refering to a Motion Picture of FOTR, I fail to see any point.

You are a LOTR elitist . I frankly, perfer Hitchhiker's Guide, myself. LOTR is just the most overrated thing I've ever seen.

For the most part, the LOTR movie was the only one I remember liking in recent times. And maybe it was because of Elijah Wood, I can't put my finger on it. Good movie though all around...

You are too young to be this cynical. What are you going to be like as an old man

Anyway I liked 4,5,6. The Ewoks aren't nearly as annoying as Jar Jar or young Anakin.

Those 2 and midiclurians are what really pissed me off about TPM. The light saber dual was great, but I agree the scenes with Jedi against bots were pretty lame.

Which is a good series. It isn't thought to be much more than great entertainment and some well written books. I don't particularly find them overrated that much at all.

Certainly TPM was the most HYPED film in recent memory.

And yes... Harry Potter is probably the most overrated film.

I was in Coconuts buying The Taste of Others and Sexy Beast or something else, and the casheer asked if I wanted to reserve Harry Potter. I looked at her and was going to say something sarcastic, but just said 'No'

An excellent under the radar film is 'Joy Ride'. The DVD includes multiple alternative endings. There's just a huge amount of material on the DVD, and the film is great fun too.

I actually rented Joy Ride on DVD the other week, and I love the 4 alternate endings on there (one of which is like 30 minutes long!).

It was a good thriller movie, and it was quite excellent watching it at night in a home theatre with surround sound, but it's not something I'd ever be compelled to watch again.
