Regional variations or dialects, are something to cherish. In a world where you're supposed to communicate globally and get impressions from all over the world in a matter of seconds, having a regional dialect to identify yourself with is just great.
It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars

      Hehe, that sounds kinda funny.

The only word that distinguishes where I'm from is "fer" and I'm trying to get rid of it. Although, I'm sure you'd be able to tell I'm American, just not where I'm from other than not the South and not New England.

Actually, it's said with more of a pirate accent. "Thar be dragons, matey!"

I was curious if the mods would be willing to tell us the region that Wiggy is from. I'm just curious to see if he actually is from the United States, or if he's just some DL from elsewhere. There are several online services that can tell you the physical location of an IP.

Only a example! And it's on Harvard Book Store's 100 Favorite Titles, in the TOP FOUR
                  What a ****ing coincidence!

And Wiglaf, you've never heard of Don Quijote? One Hundred Years of Solitude? Hoyyyyy you're ignorant.
You're comparing DQ to the ancient works of Homer?

Dont worry, Wiggy, you are no an evil man, you are only mental delayed man.
Quick tip to those attempting to look remotely intelligent: it's "not" in this case. Don't use "no" like that again please.

All Homer did was write about a siege and the return of a man back to his home. He's terribly overrated. His only real claim to fame is that it's still known after 2.500 years. I'd still think that, if we were to analyse it as literature, Don Quijote's relevance and purpose is much more significant that Homer's epics.

                    • "You're comparing DQ to the ancient works of Homer?"

                      Why not?

You think oldest 'wins' or something?

EDIT: "All Homer did was write about a siege and the return of a man back to his home."

yeah that's all, all those times when Achilles was 'tearing at his breast' or when Homer takes some time to muse about the loss of young men to the 'pitiless bronze', or the poetic imagery (the wine-dark sea, Godlike Sarpedon) that was all just fluff, find better stuff in the last Harry Potter...

We all known Wiglaf is a Boobus Maximus, but don't overeact.
