Damn Witherspoon can't skate.
I've actually seen him practicing quite a bit in person, and I've never seen him fall until that one race. They do their training on campus at my university at the oval, so a lot of people were upset today.

While I'm not an "expert" on the sport... THEY WERE SCREWED.
Yet on the other hand... they just displayed some of the best sportsmanship I HAVE EVER SEEN... They are gold winners in my book!

It was a joke.Also,there is no way the Chinese pair skated to bronze.They were all over the place.I think the American couple skated better....
Nothing new for Canada and figure skating.Its a big deal for us cuz we don't win a slew of medals,especially gold and when you see 1 couple make errors and one skate clean with the same difficulty...well it sucks.
The poor Russian man was the one to crack after the warm up collision.Our little girl sucked it up and came thru

I saw the whole thing. I feel badly for the Canadians. The minor difference in difficulty between their routine and that of the Russians was more that made up for by presentation. The crowd went wild over their performance. Not giving them the gold would be as if judges at previous Olympics had ignored the overwhelming response to Olga Korbit or Nadia Cominici."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!Comment

Like usual, international skating looks as "fixed" as the WWF.
This is not the first time that you walk away thinking "HUH"
The Russian pair skated well... but in the opinion of the announcers... most people in the stadium... and anybody that actually watched them... they weren't the best.
The Canadian pair (I think the current World Champions) skated flawlessly and with far more style and grace than the Russians.
But the judges awarded first place to the Russians (like they always do). Granted... judging is an opinion... and the margin of victory was closer than a razor's edge... but it seemed obvious to everybody but the judges that the Canadian Team was better.Keep on Civin'
