  • You can't compare the quality of life of the EU with USA

Yes, according to the Human Development Index (of the UN), most EU nations have lower quality of life than the US... so I guess you can't compare. Except for France and Norway, the EU isn't as good .

Norway is a European country but not a member EU.
What about Denmark or Sweden or Luxebourg?
Even Ireland and Finland are quite developed but not sure compared to the US...

      • Any of you guys ever visit the USA, better come and visit before you start thinking Ireland is above us or even Norway, who I still haven't got an answer for what contribution they have done if they are so smart(higher educated). C'mon........................

My folks visited, England, Italy, Ireland and France and knowing they are from, they still said we have a much higher standard of living, they said Italy was particularily bad.

            I have visited US.
My brother was studing there for a couple of years.
Some firends of mine either studied there or live there.

And yes they might be. Have you ever considered that some other nation might be better than yours in specific fields?

I gave you an answer. Not much!.
Regarding educational system in whole, from childhood to higher education are number one ranked in Microsoft Encarta + I have heared it before from other source.

I only mentioned Ireland and as a possibility and not as a fact.
I have a Greek-Irish friend and have told me many things about Ireland, not to mention that many large computer companies have their European headquarters there.

Criminality has been reduced in NY in the last decade as far as I know.
I don't know details about London but many friends of mine who studies in London never mentioned criminality.
If criminals are located in a couple of regions within London then you simply don't go there and you've got no problem.
NY has criminality in their gettos too.

Immigrants? Isn't that what all of you are in the one or the other way. If not you directly then some of your ancestors for sure.
Do I distinguise some racial discrimination here?
"The immigrants lower our educational overall level"...

Ask Turkey. They are the only ones to have those maps.
The rest maps have no disputed islands.

The Treaty of Lozane accepted by both parties and recognized worldwide do describe our borders clearly with no disputes at all.

No, you didn't get my point.
What you say might be a fact but since you are an immigrants' nation any immigrant recent or not is part of your identity therefore your educational system.

From what I read that's being done mostly with credit card debt.

the albanian kids whocome to Greece kick ass in mathematics. Maybe they don't do so brilliant in Greek litterature but that's because it is not yet their mother language.

Mny albanian kiddos have become first students here and that's a great credit to our educational system. (and a small bell of alarm for Greek kids who prefer to play playstation instead of doing their homework )

US educational system is for laughs
