DRAW is totally different from Kicking our asses. If I remember you guys only really burned the White house and Washington. If you held our grounds it would be different.
"But really it all came down to one thing. A person was invincible only because people thought him to be so, and therefore that person's security was, like all the importnant aspects of life a thing of the mind.

But Human motivation is also a thing of the mind, and fear has never been the strongest emotion. Throughout history, people have risked their lives for love, for patriotism, for principle, and for God far more often than fear has made them run away. Upon that fact depends progress." -Tom Clancy

      Typical thug mentality.
Insult others while in groups to attempt to avoid retaliation.
      For shame, dear boy.
I think you got the wrong end of the stick there. We don't go around in a group insulting other people, we insult our friends. And we do expect retaliation, that's part of the fun of it. What else are you going to talk about, the weather?

      • Yeah, the whole thing with Giancarlo is a bit tooo much. It is, simply, bullying. Just ignore him, let him play in his own sandbox, and walk away. Simple, no?

And as for the World Cup, I'd have to say Brazil always has a great chance. Don't count out the Netherlands either.

What's your problem with the french ?

American settlers were happy at this time to be helped by french, I presume...

And french were happy to piss of english too.

There is along love story between UK and France ...

That is certainly your preview to do that, LB.
I don't question it, the whole "pub" analogy was something I picked up on from a brit poster a day or two ago, explaining why it's perfectly alright to behave like an ass and attack whom ever they wanted, and I ran with it, and now Spink used it also.

What Spink and his little pals do is something else again, unless his contention is that Giancarlo is now one of his crowd.

Look back on the Gianni history and see who attacks whom, and the real bullies are revealed, they hide behind university educations and seemingly harmless words, but they are the same people who kept the world in chains for centuries, the same breed.

Can't hide form the truth, Spinky.
            We can all see it.

Exactly, my beamish boy. Your friends might tolerate it, whilst quickly planning the next opportunity to stitch you up.

However those who aren't your friends probably won't. You see, it isn't a sign of national failings if your "jokes" don't go down well.

It's just a sign that a lot of people don't like you very much.

              • Rules vary with jurisdiction, you are now here, not in a pub ribbing your drinking buddies. Just as I am not in my old wargames club, where we would completely ream each other, far sharper, combative, slanderous and vile than you pub boys could imagine. If I tried any of that on these internet sites, I would be banned, possibly even at the free fire zone. Hell half of it would not get through the auto censor. For the number of insults at one of our wargames, multiply the number of all weapons that might be discussed, time the number of human orifaces, times the number of personaly indentifying physical charateristics present, times the numbe of all strong personality traits present.

Actually I think it's quite safe to do that. I'll be your slave for life should the Netherlands even manage to win a single game at this year's World Cup

                    • Did they not qualify this year?

                      How could that have happened?

A couple of years ago Denmark didn't qualify for the Euro Cup. In the end they did end up winning it. How? One of the other teams was disqualified (yugoslavia).

                        So it's still possible

The Czech republic hasn't qualified either. So it looks like Argentina/Brazil.

                              Italy/France more likely.

Of course my friend, but that's under the assumption that the best country in the group goes into civil war. Was that Ireland or Portugal, I forgot...

Hey, it's cool you remember 1992. Some useless trivia: whenever Denmark and France are grouped together, one of them eventually wins the tournament, as seen all four times; 1984, 1992, 1998 and 2000. But it's usually France that wins.
