        The people who take up smoking are usually idiots who tried to "be cool" or fit in, because they lack self-confidence or any kind of substantive personality to make people like them.

                  Actively discouraging is one thing... insults and discrimination is another.

                  Again... you will whine when someone posts similar stuff against gays, but feel ok to post similar things, and actually think you are justified... if that is typical of the "younger generation", this world is in for even worse times.

                      If smoking becomes socially unacceptable, less people will do it.

                      Less people that do it, more money saved, people live longer.

                      If that means their feeling get hurt by me calling them an idiot for choosing to smoke, it's not really my concern...

                          Last time I checked being gay was socially unacceptable. however those of us with a brain know that gay people are human and shouldnt be harrassed however nobody but smokers belives that bout smoking.
