Because they are irrelevent. I don't need to deal with them. If you started talking about the Sun, I wouldn't need to deal with that either. We aren't discussing justification, or what you could have done, but didn't do. We are discussing what you did do. You cut off the city, except for one narrow corridor, and 670,000 people starved to death as a result.

As for Nuremburg, since the Allies weren't at war with Finland, why would it concern you? You were at war with the Soviets, not the Allies, and you reached a seperate peace agreement with them, which is fortunate for you, as otherwise you would surely have ended up part of the Eastern Bloc. But again, this isn't relevant.

That's not my argument at all. I never said what the Finns should or shouldn't have done. I only said what they did do.

Let me try and explain it to you another way. At the Battle of Yorktown, the Americans cut the Brits off on land, and the French by sea. As a result, the Brits starved. We made that happen.

That is a simple explanation of fact. I do not say the Americans were wrong or right. That's what happens in war. I'm glad we did it, since we won our independence as a result. My feeling on the matter don't change the facts.

No, we didn't cut off a city. We were in the defensive zones, are forced by Stalin. I exaplined this to you, but you seem to think it is irrelevant somehow. Once we were there, in the zone, you do realize no SU troops can go through, behind the lines. Simple, yes? The line CALLED THE ROAD OF LIFE for some weird reason, we didn't cut. Not because we woudl have been unable, but because we knew what it woudl have meant. This is, according to you irrelevant.

You claim, Stalin was only partially responsible for these little irrelevant facts.

Was anything we did, according to you, not justified, or the best thing to do?

I'm not trying to claim what you did was or was not justified. That's not relevent. The only thing that is relevent is whether or not Finnish troops helped cut the supply lines to Leningrad. As you admit, they helped to cut the lines, except for one. That's what this disucssion is about. NOTHING ELSE!

Yes but this is false.

We didn't cut any lines. The lines would have gone through our defensive zones. We didn't take any extra effort to cut the lines. They got covered by another action. Separate one. Digging in for the future defense.

Actually, Finland would have ended up a province in the Soviet empire, and I still would have been born, because I don't have a drop of Eastern European blood in me. The United States still would have existed, the Vietnam war still would have happened, and my mom still would have gotten pregnant to keep my dad from being drafted.

In fact, had we fully joined Hitler, we could have taken Leningrad no probs. Unlike German artillery and weaponry etc, we wouldn't have had any problems with their functionality, and thus do full operation. Maybe not the whole SU could Hitler then have taken, who knows, but I suspect we would have ended part of Nazi germany after that, in a similar position as with SU satellite country, so both not good. But those are just predictions.
