You've yet to learn the balance of life. Don't worry, most of these people in here don't know about it either!

The balance is, on the other hand you have no control over things, right? ON the other hand, you have control over your things. It's a bit of a mush mash right there and a proper ding in a dangleboard.

Find the balance between those, and you have found yourself. First off, you must change your position on this spectrum like an juggler. When you feel down, you must gain that control. Do something that inspires you. What is it young man, what do you want to do! And then **** off and do it!

When you're about to take a risk or planning, then you move to the other side of the spectrum. Then you take into account you really don't have too much control over certain things.

So now what you need to do is shut up, sit down, eat a good meal, take a comfortable position on the couch and think what you want to do. You can do this for couple of days but you need to be ACTIVE on it. just breath in and out, if you know how to meditate, do that. IT's just simply concentrating, getting all the useless stuff out of your mind and then you have more clear picture of where you need to go.

So you get that picture first. And then you figure out a way to do it. Remember.. this is important... now listen; there's always a way. Always. There just is! If there's no way, it means you just haven't figured it out yet. So you need to keep thinking. Then you gain the confidence, and you go and *WHAM* success, glory, presents, happiness. That's it! It's simple.. keep it simple.

Just a few options: Start an online web store for employment, go fishing so you don't have to buy food or borrow a rifle and hunt, sell the skins for money, learn how to prospect for gold, breed sled dogs and sell them, volunter to work for free at one of the local employers that way when a job does open you're first in line, write a book & sell it, learn to draw & start a web comic, become a hunting guide for stupid tourists, offer to shovel snow for cash, make home brewed beer and sell it, learn a musical instrument & join a band, join a church and go on a missionary trip (but don't come back), get a government job, hitch hike to Ankorage and live in the homeless shelter, find a cute girl and become a house husband.

Just a few ideas but if those don't work you could always start selling drugs or become a man whore.

Yeah, yeah...that is true, but I think we are all constantly formulating. I have things to balance up in terms of opportunity but as you say, you have to juggle...never slam a door shut because you don't know when the others are going to be closed without you doing it. If I get this current job situation sorted out (minor stuff) it could result in a very lucrative future...

Start making furniture, sell it to mainland US. Alternatively:

Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

I'm in a similar situation too, in that I'm currently living in a complete craphole with my dad, very little money coming in, can't afford to learn to drive, and I'm looking for work but never seeming to get anywhere.

Still, I'm looking to 2005 with fresh optimism, a new start and all that jazz.

I am currently in Chertsey, Surrey (Right by Thorpe Park), my degree's in Microbiology (biotechnology), and I have one year's experience. My prospects could be worse!

Well you live within commutable distance from London although somewhere else around the area could be problematic without the car and would involve a move. But if things are a problem, throw your CV in the direction of some agencies and they should be able to find something for you...

Is it really so difficult to get a licence in the UK?
