    Really?
I note that it is you who lacks the courage to risk anything to back up their claims.
Whereas I am prepared to risk 'any amount up to $10,000' for them.

Giancarlo - blind to facts, blind to logic and blind to the meaning of courage.

I wonder why you post here so much - i mean do you enjoy being a laughingstock?

YOu are the ****ing laughing stock. You are an unknown poster who hardly posts around here. I have a name and a reputation that is long lasting.. it is a good reputation as of late as I provided some good responses to the election in Ukraine (read those).

YOu're a ****ing fact denier, a liar, a incompetent yellow coward.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

I think the phrase you are looking for is hardly spams

I agree that your posts there are significantly above your average standard (indeed I was pleasantly suprised by them).
But, due to the reputation you have gained here as Giancarlo or as Fez it will take an awful lot more responses like them to permanently change people's idea's of you.
And you're not helping yourself with your usual 'insult the poster whilst ignoring their arguments and putting forward none of my own' - as can be seen below:

Show me (or anyone else for that matter) one fact I have denied, show one instance of be being incompetent or cowardly.

        You can't, can you?
Awww poor liddle Giancarlo - it's a shame when the real world isn't like the one in your head isn't it?

Call me by my real name.

I'm not going to deny mistakes I have made in the past. When I was younger, I was a bit of a spammer here and a bit of a nuisance. But I have tried an effort in improving my image.. the Ukraine election thread was the first major effort.

But hell, you insulted me too. And you keep insulting me. What am I supposed to be? Reasonable? You are incompetent in your arguments and I'm not going to back down from that statement.

Fair enough, if this is the start of a more rational Giancarlo then maybe I should give you the benefit of the doubt.

Hang on, I did give you the benefit of the doubt, but then you posted this:

You could have said why you think Rumsfeld should stay and it would have made your post more than childish noise - but you didn't did you?
If you are really sincere about changing then you should thank me for pointing out when you slip back into your old ways

If you find a frank description of your posting style insulting then all I can recommend is that you change it.

But I notice that you're not going to back up that statement with anything - just saying something doesn't make it so, I wonder if you will ever learn this.

Well as far as Rumsfeld goes, it is more towards personal feelings. I do feel he is competent for the job he holds and that he can do his job without anything rendering him incapable of it. He may want to tone down his blunt style though.

And hell he's a good poet.

Well sometimes I experience worries about you that border on the paternal - weird I know
You also make it far too easy to have a go at you as well - I should learn to ignore more too

All those are debatable to a certain extent - for example his insistance on low force levels for Iraq has made the post-war situation much more difficult.
I wouldn't claim he is incapable of doing his job - whether he is the best man for it though is another matter, I also think he should have done the honorable thing after Abu Ghraib and resigned as I think it was his style of leadership which made those abuses possible (and surely the buck stops with him anyways?)

I must admit that i'm not very good at appreciating poetry - I guess it comes from not being an artistic person at all.
Though I liked the humility displayed in "Confessions" and "The Unknown" is good as well.
"Happenings" sounds a lot like someone trying to ignore something by denying it's existance rather than arguing why it is false - something that (as you are no doubt aware) doesn't sit well with me.

Most Defense Secretaries leave after the first four years... just because they feel worn out because it is a high demand job even during peace time. I don't know why Rumsfeld hasn't left, I would believe he is tired after helping direct two wars.
