Most interesting to me is England, Egypt, Japan, China, India, Denmark. A country like Poland also has an interesting history.

You have to look at world history from the UR perspective to understand such ridiculous statements. China didn't get the **** kicked out of it by the Europeans until the 1800's, so before that point (after which even UR can no longer deny European superiority to China) China was obviously the greatest country on Earth and all those European powers who had been exploring and conquering the world for centuries were just a backwater that should have been paying tribute to the Middle Kingdom. Completely laughable, but logical in its own sick fashion...

Marx' entering the scene at that time might also play a part.

                Italy, UK, and Turkey

Mainly all the lands of the former Roman Empire which spawned off the great Eurocom empires

Spain is also interesting in this mix

Victorian Britain is especially interesting when the Pommies went down to Africa and all the fantastic stories about the heroes and villains that the time produced.

                Rhodes

Most boring history would be China, Russia, and Japan

Exploring? Done that. Conquering? Done that. Next.

Maybe Poland. Conquered and divided three times and still there. How can that be?

Egypt and the Aztec empire were really weird in terms their culture, totally alien even to the observers of the time.

I wonder why the aborigines of Australia managed to stay sane for so long and reject agriculture and subseqent social stratification and hard labour.

Saudi Arabia. Made quite an impact from a very bad starting position.

Yes -- the history of how fishermen went out, and took over the world and painted large parts of it imperial pink is interesting.

Italy - a country that lets a porn star become a member of its parliment is definitely interesting.

The person I'm referring to is IIona Staller aka Cicciolina. Some choice quotes...

"I am available to make love with Saddam Hussein to achieve peace in the Middle East." Sept 1990 then again Oct 2002

"My breasts have never done anyone any harm, while bin Laden's war has caused thousands of victims." -- October 2002

It is indeed. The whole fighting eachother changing its people quicker than an Sudanese village is interesting.
