They have a toll calculator on their website: http://www.407etr.com/tolls/tolls_calculator.asp
Entry: Highway 404
Exit: Highway 427
Time of Day: Weekdays 6:00 a.m. -- 10:00 a.m.
Vehicle Type: Light vehicle
Transponder: Yes
Total Distance: 24.52 kilometres
Cost Per Kilometre: $0.1395
Video Toll Charge: Not Applicable
TOLL COST: $3.42
There are other benefits to the road aside from being FAR less crowded (I drive it during rushhour down to the 401 and never dip below 80 km/h -- the 401 is gridlock at the same time for many kilometers).
The road is fully lit, which is awesome when you're driving at night like I usually do. It's way better in the winter, they have a huge fleet of snow vehicles to salt/plow/etc much faster and more efficiently than the public roads. They also have road-side assistance on the road for no additional cost to change a flat, tow you to a nearby service station, top up your tank, etc. Also, it's a cement highway so it doesn't need to be repaved nearly as often.

Radar detectors are legal in Alberta.
I had one, so did most of my friends."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

I want a radar jammer.

You just need a sophisticated ECCM rig that can escape detection.“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

I am less against them if they have toll booths, and bill electronically.
If you have a transponder, it uses that to determine which entrance and exit you use, then bill you automatically once a month.
If you don't have a transponder, it photographs your license plate when you enter and leave and charge you accordingly.
No stupid toll booths."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

With the 407 you just drive like a normal highway.

I don't understand why that's impressive. It's basically 65 the whole way.
I averaged 75 on my way from Baltimore to Montreal including the border crossing.12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET
