It's been a while since I saw it (last Christmas, on the BBC I think), but I didn't think it felt sad, hopeless or uncomfortable at all. Didn't you think those triplets were having fun? I loved the rythm of it anyway.

Ooh, great. I plan on seeing that one this week or next week. Was it good?

    • Team America: World Police. Up until that I hadn't watched a movie in years.

        Yeah, I liked it.
Nice sceneries and a nice view at the Mongolian nomads.
The closing scenes (when the camel finally starts weeping) is bewildering.

            • The last thing I saw in theaters was Garden State. It was chintzy.

The Triplettes of Belleville was very, very good, but not great. It had a very, very askew tone that's definitely NOT for everyone.

Wife picked this one up, and while it was interesting it left me wondering why it was made into a movie. It's about some kid reporter for some prominent magazine who made up all his stories (quite a few) and fewled the political world.
