Saddam was a good example of a fascist. The whole of Arabia has similar patterns.

Jordan seems to be an exception as it has an elected parliament with real power.

Iraq soon will join the ranks of the democratic.

Hopefully, so will Palestine -- that is, unless France can arrange things to its favor.

Spiffor, Clinton didn't even bother asking Congress about Kosovo. He just did it. Many Republicans were against the war at the time, including Kissinger, so I don't know if Clinton could have gotten Congress to go along.

When Saddam kicked out the inspectors in '98, Clinton bombed Iraq for three days and threatened invasion. Clinton never asked anyone for permission to do either.

So, the axiom we glean from Clinton's behavior is to avoid nasty arguments and questions and just act. Presidents who act are always more popular.

As to me personally, let me tell you that debt is essential. For example, I borrowed money to buy the house I'm in. I still owe more than half that money to the bank. But, at the same time, my house has more than doubled in value. Now, if I die tomorrow, my kid gets a house in Kalifornia with a debt about 1/5th of its value.
I see, Ned would have succeeded in transmitting his own debts to his children.

Investing in the economy operates in the same way.
That is creating an additional burden for Ned s children through the national debt.

Why Ned is he hating his children so much?

I don't entirely agree with that, but there's truth in this statement.

There are various reasons as to why Clinton was popular, and his handling of Iraq didn't increase his popularity. However, as he avoided lengthy arguments altogether, he did avoid seeing his popularity shrink too much. Had Bush surprised everybody with the war in Iraq (i.e no lengthy build-up and no lengthy diplomatic crisis), his unpopularity might have not skyrocketed that much.
However, he was fairly impopular before, because of how the US gave the world the finger on pretty much every multilateral agreement (the ICC, Kyoto, the land mines ban), while Clinton was at least polite enough to do lip service about it.

Davout, I see. Another person who is as much against debt as a medieval Catholic or a modern day Muslim. Why if everyone had such troglydite thinking, there would be no banking system at all!! What joy. Everyone would be forced to have a balanced budget because no lending would be possible!!!!!!

I was just attempting to draw the consequence of your demonstration. It seems that you dont like it, and, once again, you cant help but calling the author names, unless you consider gratifying being called *medieval catholic* or *modern day muslim*. Qualifying my supposed thinking of *troglodyte* is likely designed to be insulting as well.

My thinking about debts has some gradations, degrees and differences that you are perfectly entitled to ignore even if they are not as medieval or troglodytic that you would feel comfortable with.

Nothing is worse than people who know nothing about economy, except those who believe they understand it.

Let me ask you then, did you support Kerry's call for balancing the budget by raising taxes when the US recession was still upon us?
