Ted would prefer to ignore that many 'bigoted, redneck' Democrats agreed with the 'homophobe' measures.

He's still in the throwing toys stage.

My bubble was burst when our precious leader lied to all of us and made the rest of the world hate us.

        Well, the US is an important partner against terrorism, which threatens us as well. Besides, the US has more political weight in plenty of places that have our interest as well: like Israel. The Road Map was a typical attempt to solve together our common problems (because the crap happening in Israel / Palestine affects both the US and Europe);

I personally don't care who voted for it, Democrat or Republican, since I'm independent, they are bigoted no matter what affiliation they have.

But I'm sure it's just a "coincidence" that the 11 states that had homophobe legislation just "happened" to go red.

I'm glad you write off discrimination legislation though.

As for NATO, it is an anachronism. There's no-one to fight any more. Russia would rather trade with Europe than invade it. China is too far away and no one else could do it anyway - not that there is any earthly reason to.

Europe would be better off dumping the United States as an ally. It really has no need of the US anymore, and the relationship just sparks pissing over differences.
You're really full of it here, mahn, considering the first time NATO fired shots in anger was outside of the UN and to help Europe set it's house in order, and then the second was Afghanistan.

It's really a ***** that it was actually the Yanks being directly attacked that first triggered full NATO obligations, isn't it?

Do you think the French government feels safe from Islamism? Hmmm?

I think this is an illusion. The world has been much the same violent place with NATO and would be without it. The real factor in preserving world order is the fact of increased globalization. Why attack the people you trade with and shoot yourself in the foot?

Moreover, the cost of war is just too high, and there's **** all to fight over (not that there was ever very much).

Europe should let the Americans go, and do their own thing. Cold War sentimentalism is a luxury that they can't afford.

Canada on the other hand, will always be America's *****.
As KH loves to point out, we're bigger and we're on top.

As for the rest of your blather, well, it is just blather, so nevermind.

Oh boy, you really haven't paid much attention. There was a whole lot of hate long before Bush. Some crockery has been turned over, and there has been an uptake. It will pass, Ted.

                        Alright, 8 out of 11.

With those 3 states having the closest margins.

                          Total drivel.

The Kosovo intervention caused more violence than it prevented.

                          And Afghanistan benefited Europe how?

As I said, NATO is a waste of time. It's an instrument of American interests, and those no longer coincide with those of Europe (well maybe the Italians, but they're mental anyway).

Sorry but you are out of touch with reality

Bush IS directly responsible for our low standing in the world today

If you want silly polls numbers, take a look at world opinon polls from 2001 and compare them with 2003. The numbers took a nosedive.

We already went over that and Bush isn't even close to being the man that Reagan was.
