"Hypocrisy" is not the same thing as "making fun of Ned."

I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Which was it Ramo, pinko socialist or anarchist?
You really do need to keep your spins straight.

Anarchists are pinko socialists. Not sure if he was anarchist, but he certainly had anarchist leanings.
And what exactly am I supposed to be "spinning?"

In what way? Are you trying to tell me that Orwell wasn't a socialist?

Rather pathetic how the right calls every innocuous statement a "spin."

Orwell was a socialist, that's a matter of historical record. He was a member of a number of socialist organizations. As far as anarchist leanings go, he definately wasn't an anarchist but he sympathized with them as can be seen in Homage to Catalonia.
Actually Orwell turned against the left during WWII and became an informer for British domestic intelligence - MI5 - reporting to them on his left wing friends and acquaintances.
Quite ironic really.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..
In previous conversations with me I referred to Orwell as having dabbled in Trotskyism you were quick to point out he was an Anarchist.
Now which is it?
And if you are going to use the phrases such as pinko socialist to describe him that doesn't cut it if you want to imply anarchist, please use the more appropriate phraseology such as libertarian socialist otherwise you imply as I did that he had statist leanings.

I don't recall these previous conversations, but I may have pointed out that Orwell mentioned in Homage to Catalonia that he preferred the anarcho-syndicalist CNT over the "Trotskyite" POUM that he joined. As I said, he had anarchist leanings. In any case, he was a socialist.
And you still haven't pointed out what I'm trying to spin.

I'm trying to clarify his stance on state (and it would appear to be a changeable view were I to guess). His stance regarding workers owning means of production is not in question, at least for his earlier days while enamored of the communist movement during the Spanish civil war that is. (at least until he started to see the error of his ways during WW2, hence my preference for his discussions during this time period)
Pinko socialist implies the whole gamut of socialist offerings.
You were specific before that he was an anarchist I simply wished you to clarify your position. My apologies for categorizing that as spin other than the appearance now is that you have backtracked from the hard position that Orwell was an anarchist.
