    Saoudi-Arabia maybe?
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God? - Epicurus

      Exactly...Quit your pseudo-moaning and leave.

I'm still waiting for some of the so-called hollywood elitists that threatened to move to France a few years ago when Bush was elected to get their sorry a**es over there.

      It's all hollow promises

Don't think the cost is that much different from Ivy League colleges either, though there won't be any scholarships I guess.

The Democrats should just give up. Too many Americans are more interested in persecuting gays, blacks and women than anything sensible. This election should finally put to rest the idea that there is a bunch of enlightened Americans who don't vote - the added vote was almost entirely idiots.

If the Dems want to do anything useful, they should jump on the bandwagon of states' rights and attempt to increase the autonomy of the northern and pacific states, so that they won't be harmed too much by the fundie agenda.

But the Democrats are never going to win the White House in the foreseeable future.
                  Only feebs vote.

                    Do so

It's when you're young and unattached that you should travel, not after that. Travelling during college-education is the best idea you could have.

                            Ted Striker
                            che

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

As you know Ted, Europe is having a population crisis. Need I say more? About the only thing you'll have to adapt to is that in my experience European girls are generally shorter than American girls. I'd suggest Roma, Italy as a good place to set up shop for a while. Great food, wonderful climate, beautiful women, history, culture...

che, try the Mediterranean. Plus points - it's got a climate a lot like Florida - without the hurricanes. Bad points - you'll have to learn a foreign language unless you stick to the British expat communities in Spain.

I guess you'd expect me to say something positive about emigrating to Ireland. Sorry, nothing comes to mind about the aul' sod. As we tend to say back home, we're closer to Boston than Berlin. It's one of the most expensive countries in the world, infrastructure is bad, weather is awful, still quite provincial in outlook. Great for a holiday though.

I've been living in Scotland for a month, and it's great craic if you can live with the miserable weather.

But Europe has it all. Apply for political asylum and let the good times roll.
STDs are like pokemon... you gotta catch them ALL!!!

This election has convinced me to apply to (Physics) grad schools outside of the country. Any decent schools in Barcelona?

Hmm thing is if all Bush haters come over here then Bush rightwing fundies will stay in power for eternity there. How about we all move over there to break the tyranny of the Bush dynasty!! (maybe after George, it'll be Jeb's turn )
