    • People who thought Kerry would win were thinking with their hearts, not their heads.

Nonsense. Kerry did a good finish and had all chances to win this election.

I'm just curious because I honestly thought Bush would lose.

I don't know. But I do know there have been past campaigns where people went to bed with the belief that one candidate won, and then woke up the next day to see that they were wrong.

So tomorrow, I am planning to initiate a thread in which people can discuss how the Democratic Party should reassess itself, or even if we do need to reassess ourselves as Democrats. This is if I wake up tomorrow morning, proven to be correct about Kerry losing.

Or maybe someone will have preempted me tomorrow with the same topic.

Riiiiiiiiiight -- because there were absolutely no intelligent people in United States who felt sure that Kerry could win.

I suppose we will shortly see how wrong they were.

                    • Even intelligent people can be proven to be wrong.

Being proven to be wrong does not equate lack of intelligence, necessarily.

True, I suppose. Perhaps it is wisdom that is lacking.
