People who thought Kerry would win were thinking with their hearts, not their heads."And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961
"Extremism in the defense of liberty is not a vice." -- Barry Goldwater, 1964 GOP Nomination acceptance speech (not George W. Bush 40 years later...)

Yeah things aren't locked up yet. Lots could still happenWhich side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh

What do you think went wrong?
I'm just curious because I honestly thought Bush would lose.
I don't know. But I do know there have been past campaigns where people went to bed with the belief that one candidate won, and then woke up the next day to see that they were wrong.
So tomorrow, I am planning to initiate a thread in which people can discuss how the Democratic Party should reassess itself, or even if we do need to reassess ourselves as Democrats. This is if I wake up tomorrow morning, proven to be correct about Kerry losing.
Or maybe someone will have preempted me tomorrow with the same topic.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Nonsense. Kerry did a good finish and had all chances to win this election."And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.
