26 World Series wins? There's a reason no one outside NY cares - nobody wants to see the ones who always win win again.

1 Win for Boston? That will actually matter.

Plus, the Yankees have hanging over their head right now the worst post-season series loss ever, and you can be sure that when the Yanks come to Fenway, the chants of "Year-Two-Thou-Sand" will be painful for you as much as "Nine-Teen-Eight-Teen" was for us.

And we also have the "winningest" team in a league: The Boston Celtics, 16-time NBA champions.

We don't feel like losers in Beantown. Its just that the Red Sox have built up a nice wait to what will be an amazing feeling. I guess you could consider it 86 years of Foreplay, before what could very well be the greatest climax in all of sports history.

Well not EVERY Yankee team. I'm sure the Murderer's Row Yankees and the '61 Yanks (Mantle and Maris) will be known for centuries... as long as baseball is still around. And Tinker to Evers to Chance (the Cubs of the 1910s) will be around forever as well.

So lets not go into ultra-hyperbole mode .

Though I do think this Red Sox team, IF they win, will be remembered throughout history as well. Just don't say they'll be remembered long after any Yankees or Cubs team .
