  • So if everything goes "normally", Boston will soon win, there will be some minor rioting in Boston tonight-big parade tommorrow-

Then Bosotn fans will be insufferable for a few days, and come next season when it begins- and then?

Lets see what happens in the post season:

My prediction? Neither the Sox nor the Yankees will win next years WS.

              • this is too easy, you ever think this game is rigged?

better ratings this way than a yankees win over the cardinals.

                            • Oh, what a wonderful BAM devoid of even a basicly believeable arguement. All you do is say that Yankee fans are somehow less in tuned with the "history" of othewr teams- as if that made it true. Sorry, but saying something does not make it so. Please provide an arguement

Based on what I've seen from you and other Yankee fans. .. Boston has nothing to cheer for in the last 86 years indeed . I wouldn't gather you have much baseball knowledge beyond your team, and other Yankee fans I've spoken too gave me the same general impression.

Wow, a second BAM! "Many people"? Is that five, ten? can you name them? How many do you know, not from florida? Again Imran, saying something does not make it true-

Perhaps you can take another taste of your medicine.

OMG! Another BAM! How many people don't remember the '97 Marlins? 90%? Where's your proof!

I do wonder when the whole "curse" was invented? Cleveland has not won in almost, if not over 50 years- whats their curse? The Astros have never won- what's their curse?

Have they gone to the WS and lost so heartbreakingly as the Red Sox? Have they been thawrted as many times in such fashion?

I remember when they won- everyone made a huge deal about it- even I was caught up in it-then the next year, nothing, and the Rangers are back to stinking. And can you show any backu[p for your claim about the team?

Can you claim any back up that they aren't one of the most remembered teams in hockey. Can you name 5 teams which are more remembered.

Ask a hockey fan. The chant of "Matteau, Matteau" is one of the most famous in hockey. Mess' guarentee is legendary.

something should be cheered on its own

Yeah, it kind of is .

People cheered the Bills during the early 90s. People cheered the Sox of the 40s. Just because they didn't win doesn't mean no one cheered for them. Just read how many books have been written about the Williams' Sox. "Teammates" is the latest, famous one.

People cheered the Braves when they went to the WS (and then lost).

There was plenty to cheer about even when your team doesn't go all the way. Are you seriously telling me that the fans didn't cheer when Hank Aaron hit his 715th? How about when McGwire hit his 62?

You deserve even more than I have already given you in this thread.

“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
