In other news, Cabrera is having a solid series. Maybe Theo was right when he dealt Nomar, huh? Here is more proof .

The look on Steinbrenner's face when his high-priced talent blow yet another championship series, this time to the hated BoSox: Priceless.

Well, yes and no.
I think if the Red Sox win this series, then the curse is defacto broken, World Series title or not. You don't have to be cursed to lose the World Series; they may just run into a better team.
But if they fall behind 3-0, to the New York Yankees, and then storm back and win the series 4-3 at Yankee Stadium?
The Curse is over.

That's not true at all. Its only during Baseball season, and only really the hardcore ones at that (probably about 5% each). The rest on both sides really aren't as fanatical as you try to make them out to be. Personally, I NY; the only thing I don't are the Yankees.
From my experience it is true... in a general sense. Of course , in terms of one knowing people and being friends it is different. But as I said, my experience in general terms says it is true. I grew up and lived in NY for near 34 years. It was the same for me when I moved down south in '90. Until I had gotten to know people, many treated me differently in general terms because I was a Northerner... a Yank. Once you get to know people it is different.
I speak for myself not for everyone so don't take it like I do.
First, who the hell are you to say whether or not a fan of any particular team should be as gung ho as they are. Second, as I said, the vast vast majority of Sox fans only complain when something like Grady Little or Bill Buckner happens. It comes with a history of heartache. We're passionate, of course, but any team whos fans aren't passionate have no purpose playing.
Go to Philadelphia. If you want fans to dislike, that's who you should focus on. They installed a frickin' jail in the Vet, for cripes sake.
Who the heck am I? I'm no one. Just one with an opinion based on my experiences. And I never said one cannot be as gung ho as they like.
Just that when I am holding a normal conversation about baseball... I'll blow off the idiots that don't know how to participate. And if I hope they can't enjoy something, for whatever my reasons may be, it's my business and or my problem.
I have nothing against Red Sox fans that I know personally. Many are friends of mine. It is the ones that I see on BB's or websites or hear in the news or whatever... that I make a judgement about. My right as is yours to curse me out. But that just solidifies my position.
I give an opinion and it may rub you the wrong way as LoA has rubbed me the wrong way, but I don't curse him out as the way you curse me out.
**** you. Who the **** are you? Damning all of us for the select few? That's very high-and-mighty of you, Mr. Can-Do-No-Wrong.
I've done plenty wrong in my life. And I'm not high and mighty. I don't damn all of you. I already stated that the civil fans should enjoy it. But curseing me out and being Mr. Tough guy to me , shows me where you are standing. You are the one not being civil and as I said.. it proves my point that much further.
Anyway, if the Sox do win , congrats to them ... but you two guys need to know how to be more accepting of it.
You know what has been the sweetest part of these playoffs so far? I got Digital Cable and I don't have HDTV, but I do have a DVR box. I knew it was a DVR/HDTV box, but since I didn't have HD, I didn't really care about the HD part. I NOW find out that I can watch the HD channels and I get this widescreen fully digital picture of the broadcast channel on my regular TV! I know it can't be possible, but it just SEEMS clearer than regular digital... maybe it is because of the contrast between regular broadcast and digital widescreen picture (since I watch my movies in widescreen, why not TV? Sports especially ).

I think Pedro is trying to give the game away... why did they take Lowe.

Put in Timlin and then Foulke for the last two innings.. no more Pedro.
